Well Well: Ralph Daay!! Shame on You for having the Nerve and Poor Taste for posting a negative comment about one of our most talented young performers today , the incredible Seth Sikes. It's Hard to Believe that Anyone Couldn't See The Abundance of Talent Thats Going On with This Bright, Brilliant and Gifted Artist... Your opinion couldn't persuade a mule , much less a person.. You obviously don"t have a clue concerning Great Talent.. Be Grateful that Young performers are passing along this wonderful material.. This Young Man is Spectacular !!

This great song was written over 100 years ago and was made famous by Al Jolson performing it in blackface. He loved seeing and hearing black people in new orleans as a very young kid who was just starting out. When performing all his songs on stage in black face, he was always sincere, never mocking or making fun of black people for laughs. He was always very respectful and his performing was so very heartfelt he was always making the audience cry. Today black people are doing everything they possibly can to ban and erase black history from all movies filmed 80 or 90 years ago in such movies as 'gone with the wind" , any films portraying blacks as maids, Cooks, picking cotton etc. They are trying to erase and forget history as it was hundreds of years ago. This is why the words were changed here in this song. They call it racial, discrimination with lawsuits demanding to be compensated as much and for anything that they can. No one in this world can ever erase history. That was how it actually was then. Not today! That is how it was then; but now is now! Why can't move forward by loving , working and being with one another? I am so sick of the defense and all 🤔 racial prejudice still going on today!🥺😥😇

I'm sure someone will tell me I'm joyless, but I don't understand what everyone's clapping for. He's young, lacks that depth and experience and grit an older performer might have, but even then, the voice is strained and the eyes are dead. I love Judy, I love Liza, I love musical theatre, but if an average male cabaret performer got up and sang one of their hits I wouldn't wet myself and start clapping like a seal after the first 2 bars, patronising them like that. I'm not sure I would have clapped like a seal for an 18 year old Garland either... I think Garland or Jolson, in their prime were more than mere singers, and sadly this blond expressionless twink comes across as a fanboy, and less like a creative artist.

Why on earth would this weak singer attempt some of the best singers repertoires? Real singers don’t need to do tribute shows.
