This is the correct way to adjust the left stop. The threads are very deep and turning them slightly in either direction will not effect anything. The instructions tell you to tighten onto the threads until you have the desired left margin where you want it. The left margin should be fairly close to where the contractor set it. The only way this would cause any issue would be if you turned your head clockwise over 10 full turn. Pretty sure you should find a left margin you like in less than one turn.😀
Confusing video. At the beginning you say to turn the head. Are you unscrewing from the base (that's what it looks like) or just turning the top of it? Can't tell from your vid.
I am having trouble with water coming out the top of my Rain Bird 5000 series sprinkler head. When the heads are not on, water comes out the top. Is there a seal that can be replaced? Thanks!
Hello, it sounds like you are having an issue with low head drainage. The solution is a new seal/filter called a SAM or seal a matic. It is a new filter that comes with a seal attached to it. It goes in the base of the head and will prevent the low head drainage.
FINALLY someone gets it! So many videos show the wrong way and no one ever challenges them. It's like all these videos go to the same wrong video and must do their own copy cat without thinking about why it is totally wrong.

That is not how you set the left stop...you just showed people how to unscrew the head from the riser or funny pipe elbow.
