  • Each market has its own needs and RUBI therefore has the range of TP-T manual single guide cutters.
These tile cutters are designed for intensive work with any type of ceramic tile. The TP-T tile cutters are ideal for cutting porcelain tiles (BIa type). They include a highly impact-resistant monoguide system, which gives them a very long life.
The ergonomic handle of TP-T tile cutters is adapted to pulling the handle instead of pushing it and includes a retractable breaker of 2204.6 lbs of breaking power, which can deal with tile thicknesses from 13/64 in. to 25/32 in. It is also very easy to use and provides the professional tile installer greater working speed. In addition, the mobile breaker on TP-T tile cutters ensures high quality in diagonal and angular cuts.
All models in the range of TP-T tile cutters feature a central pivot swivel square for quick and precise measurement of angular cuts. Thanks to the lateral stop, the ceramic tile installer can make repetitive cuts very easily and with maximum precision.
RUBI TP-T tile cutters have a high strength two-layer aluminum base with a shock absorption effect, and lateral supports for large tiles. Unlike the TP-S tile cutter, with this one you work in a different position, behind the tile cutter and pulling the handle.
TP-T ceramic tile cutters work with a 7/8 in. scoring wheel, made of long lasting tungsten carbide. This allows us to adapt to each material with a very versatile and effective scoring wheel diameter. All these features make these tile cutters very simple machines to use, whilst also durable and lightweight. TP-T tile cutters do not require great care or need any maintenance because the guides do not require lubrication.

Would it be possible to disassemble and rotate the handle so you could push to score the tile rather then pull ?

Hello Shez. We would not recommend doing that. However, we offer another model of cutter that's practically identical, but this one is designed to score by pushing rather than pulling. www.rubi.com/us/tp-s-tile-cutters-r14

does this pull cutter come in a 48 or 49 inch or is the 48 or 49 inch only come in a push? also i see the measure bars are metric and maybe imperial at the bottom, but are they available imperial as the main measure?

Hello. Yes, it does. The TP-125 T is 49 inches. The rotating squares have both inches and centimeters on them.

Hello. I should clarify. The TP-125 T has a cutting length up to 49 inches. There is no cutter called the TP-49 T. But that's just because the name is based on the maximum cutting length in centimeters (125cm) instead of inches. Does that makes sense?

Gotcha..I guess I can purchase the 40 inch pull here in the states but not the 49, in fact not sure if any new cutters that long are pulls except the rubi , so bummed that its not available unless I purchase outside of the states

You mean to say you want a cutter of at least 49 inches cutter that works by pulling on the handle rather than pushing it? Say no more. Here you have three options, all designed for pulling the handle rather than pushing, all available in the USA, and they all have a maximum cut length between 66 and 102 inches www.rubi.com/us/tp-t-tile-cutters-r15
These cutters were originally designed for the Italian market, which is where the traditional method of tiling is by pulling on the cutter's handle rather than pushing it. It's a pretty unusual method to use in the USA. How did you learn to cut tile that way?
