    Ian McCullough is a genius and I don't use that term lightly. I was lucky enough to see them live in Denver, Colorado in this old theater type place. He smoked cigarettes through the entire show, must of been at least three packs and he held the Bible in his hand for the whole show. They were amazing. Definitely one of the greatest bands ever. I wish I could relive that night.

    • @ninetyminutestd
      @ninetyminutestd 6 лет назад +3

      Based on what? What "destroyed" him was/is self-destructive tendencies--the drugs, drink, ciggies, self-defeating behavior, etc. He has acknowledged his wife kept him from obliteration. Rock stars, what are ya going to do. All the things that make them great artists are probably the things that hurt them in ordinary day to day life.

    By the third album they had become pretentious, he was a drug addled fool by the fourth. One of the greatest bands I have ever seen, many times, but for an old man to be still treading it out with a young band is now embarrassing.

    • @jeffdekimpe1746

      Your comment is embarrassing because it shows that you’re a frustrated person who has never accomplished much of anything.

      @@jeffdekimpe1746 I saw the Siberia era tour at the Brighton Concorde 2 and the old man still had it. They drove the crowd wild. The Fountain album is the only one that is total shite. I gave up on them after that but then heard a gem on Meteorites so they can occasionally achieve glory when most bands of their vintage are in the old folks home.
      I do not agree that Mac is the greatest rock star since John Lennon. Ian is the greatest rock star of all time.

    • @jcomm120
