Note: When the Moon and Mars collided in Universe Sandbox, I was unaware of the camera being attached to Mars, and I did not account for the forces that would cancel out, inertia, etc. I would like to clarify that I did not know these things when I made the video so please do not consider that information to be a fact.
How do i download it
Ur ring comparison was unfair as hell, delete all the moons and put saturns rings template and itll work perfectly.

@@ryanspaceYT hi there I'm the 6 subscriber youtuber
Universe Sandbox 2 gets momentum right! In the second one, you didn't move at all because your point of reference was Mars. The camera was lock on Mars, so it was following it.
Yeah lol
I've played Universe Sandbox 2 before, and if you do hit an object hard enough while it's orbiting, it will slow down (If you hit it hard enough it will stop completely and fall into the sun)
3:10 that's because your camera was focused on Mars. Also, forgetting the light asteroid debris for a second, newton's laws would conclude that the two objects would accelerate towards one another, then collide, and cancel out their velocities. Inertia and whatnot
If one object is smaller than the other, then the bigger one will keep the pre-collision velocity (like just literal picoseconds before the collision), just a bit toned down.
Even so, i think space sim still has a more accurate simulation as the planets mostly deform like jelly due to the force being far stronger than its initial gravity. Although not as much cataclysm like in US2.
@@mr_nothing.the_one_that_no9134 yeah, and univer sand box has much more cool things.
I would say that space sim has better physics for collision and whatnot but universe sandbox is great at making the outcome. Ex: you shoot the moon at the earth in universe sandbox, it predicts the temperature, the mass and lots of other things, but from what I could tell space sim didn’t to very well for that part
They're actually is kinetic energy but it's easier to see it in action when you have the default solar system template.
There*
There*
The collision physics is what kind of makes it for spacesim
Crashing planets: Space Sim
Terraforming, water physics and customizing planets: Universe Sandbox
Exploring Planets: Space Engine
I totally agree
Nothing beats Space Engine when it comes to exploring tbh
And theres a mobile universe sandbox💀 ITS NAMED SOLAR SYSTEM SIM💀💀
@@craigbennie4620 Solar System Sim isn’t Universe Sandbox Mobile, are you ok? 🤨🤨🤨
100%
The ring comparison wasn't fair because you had all of Saturn's moons and other stuff. Thats why it was so laggy.
They are 2 completely different programs with completely different purposes
Noooo really😰
@@ghosted9108I can't tell if your being sarcastic or not
Omg really????😮
which windows are you using
which of them is for exploring
6:13 you can also draw textures using elevation
in my opinion universe sandbox is the winner
I agree
Same
I agree with you, and the one about lag is uncertain, that is, he is perhaps using a weaker laptop, I have a laptop that is not designed to run games, but it's kinda playable
I Agree
It really depends on whatever you're trying to do. If you're trying to make a system, use Universe Sandbox. If you're looking for collisions and other shit, use SpaceSim. Reeeeealllllllllly depends.
my computer says make shore i trust space sim before i download. what does that mean?
Your computer is an idiot. It's safe.
Spacesim is safe to download ignore the warning
rings do work but your not supposed to spam them and i see you also included saturn`s moons which cuase more lag so i think us2 won
Of course rings work yeah, and the moons do add more lag but Spacesim is a bit better for rings because it also adds ring physics (they will coalesce into a moon) and it does work a bit smoother but spacesim has more particles and the rings are more visible.
@@DeltaHydrixian also us2 does that
You just have to select a particle and press convert body to full size then increase the mass and it might work
@@DeltaHydrixian but okay
@@BruhLordRBLX yeah ik, but its still not AS good as Spacesim
What is your graphics card?
Radeon RX 550 GPU
The lag was due to your lack of CPU power lol. I don't really get lag when simulating ring systems, but I'm using a Ryzen 7 5700x. Beefier CPU means more power in this game.
Yes my CPU is the Ryzen 3 3200G it is slow in Universe
Sandbox.
@@ryanspaceYT gotcha. Try to upgrade to the 5700x it's a very solid cpu
@@rogerrock12games will upgrade soon, thanks.
@@ryanspaceYT make sure to get a dedicated GPU. The X series doesn't have the onboard like the G series does
Have the same cpu can't complain best investment I've made so far
Why don't you make 5 categories?
imagine space simulators in next 10 years
Is there no simulator that can explore the known universe with all the mapped and logged galaxys and what not seems to just be the solar system with these
SpaceEngine is your best bet
Why did you reuoplad the same video?
Thank you very much. That was very helpful. I've had Univers Sandbox 2 for a while and I love it. Never heard before of SpaceSim, but I will definitely do now.
It's worse bro. Universe Sandbox is more accurate
3:05, did you press the key F? I suspect it didn't move because your camera is entered on Mars. And pressing F key can allow you to see motion change. Try it!
Thanks! I will try it for sure.
How did you get universe sandbox 2?
Steam
@@the_guy_from_weezer_blue I have it but it looks different than that
@Ryanspace for the lag it really depends on your pc
Mars does move, it’s just that since your camera was locked onto it you don’t see the movement. If you check it’s trajectory you see the change
Where can I find SpaceSim?
Go to the desc of the vid
man a think you should put the phisics in spcce sim to defult does not lag then
YOU WERE FOLLOWING MARS SO OF COURSE YOU WOULDN'T SEE MARS MOVE! #MILDLYINFURIATING
How do you get space sim
just search "spacesim" on google
bro used every text effect he got
4:32 why does this look more like universe sandbox 2?
They turned off the deformable setting for Saturn which basically turns it into a huge solid ball.
tbh even though they didnt added kinetic energy to universe sandbox i would still give it a point cuz in space sim these planets are a WAY TOO SLIME LIKE
Lemme say somethin
Lets say your a microscpoic organism in air,
The air would feel like your in water.
Compare it to a human,
Then the human doesnt get affected by the air at all.
The same applies for planets, they are slime like because its so big to the point that even rocks cannot stand its own weight.
Planets being slime like also is the reason why planets look egg shaped when too close to its star.
@@Richie825 I agree, also I think we haven't viewed how planets react to a collision, so it could perfectly append like SpaceSim and we don't know. 🤔
6:06 AYO WHAT THE ####
He is satanist for sure
bro this is not 60 fps it says 30 on the top of the screen

bro how did you still play spacesim without wifi
this spacesim is for pc/laptops only

2:06 that looks like the beamng level editor ui
the only diffrence is that i can run a simulation on universe sandbox 2 while in spacesim my computer crashes
6:06 that ☝XD
How can i get spacesim

SpaceSim Max Settings Plus graphics=🗿🗿
3:10 dude you’re focused on the planet lol
Bro there was kenetic energy space sim get a lil bit of the particals wrong too
I like the comparement but jumping text makes me skip.
are spacesim safe?
yes
Dont judge games people try hard to make them!
the games need to be criticized otherwise the developers are gonna repeat the same mistakes and we're gonna be left with bad games
That's literally the reason why games are good. People talk about the bads and recommend updates to the creator to make it better.
Oh,he was just testing 😅
Your comment is like saying a 5 yr expired can of beans is better than fresh Krispy Crème.
is Space Sim free?
yes it is free
6:06 What the Heck
But wait. Wouldn't since you in space and locked in on Mars it would look like nothing moved since you can't view anything relative to Mars. So it would be very hard to see movements.
Nice "versus" My conclusion is that Space Sim have a little better physics that Universe Sandbox 2 and at the same time Universe Sandbox 2 have better quality and customer that Space Sim.
7:00 Wait I Know this sounds it's Interstellar
thought it was going fine until @6:02 Moved on to something else.
Bro really gon get mad enough to leave a comment over that 💀💀
Accuracy vs diversity
they are two different programs with different purposes
Great video, but i think the spacesim is like not realistic for texture and sharper i prefer universe sandbox
Thanks, I think SpaceSim is accurate for collision and Universe sandbox is accurate for graphics
spacesim makes the planets blobby
4:03 remove the fucking moons jeez,if there were no moons there wouldn't be much lag
Universe sandbox devs did want to add sph to the game but they couldn't as it was too slow to be run in real time, and they would like to look into alternative methods to do fluid collisions in the future, but right now its probably not a priority for them
AYO THAT WAS SUS 6:05
see US3, which has more feature than US2
Both are good to me
YOU DIDN'T EVEN ZOOM IN TO THE RINGS ON UNIVERSE SANDBOX 2 TO SEE THE DETAIL!! #MILDLYINFURIATING
Did u see the lag on his pc💀💀
Here to break the point for space sim with rings. Your saying that it is detailed that having little balls the same shape is detailed? But different colors. But in universe sandbox they have rings that the asteroids are different. Btw you say it is laggy your computer is just TRASH then.
Try and run 100000 tiny balls all with their own gravity then
@@KrisinaCrossing2011 ok I did that and it was a 45 frames per second. It ran perfectly.
Rings in Spacesim are intended to be as detailed as possible. I believe the colour of the rings depend on the density of the particles, or how much particles is lined in the ring, so it isn't exactly realistic. Universe Sandbox just tries to be a bit more conservative on processing and graphics so it doesn't crash your computer if you do insert ring system.

Yeah if universe sandbox had space sim's collision physics it would be the holy grail of space simulation games
@@AlfieAlfieAlfieyes! the only thing i am interested in universe sandbox is terraforming but the rest it already in spacesim
@@AlfieAlfieAlfiewith space engine's graphics would become the perfection

to be honest i dont like colision in spacesim , planet look like slime or liquid planet , feel so unrealistic to me
Alien? 0:57
1. luffy ahh type shit for the collision in space sim
2. mars didnt look like it moved because either it was locked in place or just because you were focused on it
3. rings are fine in universe sandbox, your pc just isnt good enough to handle them. the moons also contributed a lot of lag aswell
planets behave like liquid because of pressure and temperatures and also material strenght doesn´t affect at this scale
Why are u illiterate?
Planets behave like that on a large scale.

Universe Sandbox- 25 dollars
Spacesim - FREE
SPACESIM WINS
Dude, it is quite the opposite, most free games are between good and bad, in this case:
Collision: Universe Sandbox
Price: Universe Sandbox
Freedom: Universe Sandbox
Actually fun: Universe Sandbox
@@Roblocksgaming1.Why the price in universe sandbox won if spacesim is free?
2.Why collisions won in universe sandbox?
3 the other 2 are subjective
@@sam_xd6574 Because more expensive games tend to be better than free ones, and that collisions in Universe Sandbox offers more customizable options for when the collision is done.
Pirating:
The winner is space engine
Bro you have a microwave computer so... 😂😂
in the rings i think universe sandbox is better, i think is the computer cuz i had universe sandbox in another pc and it went more laggy than with my new pc
Def his computer, how did he forget that it's also important how good your PC is...
UNIVERSE SANDBOX WINS 4-0! UNIVERSE SANDBOX 2 WINS FAIR AND SQUARE!
why? what are your reasons exactly?
4:26 crappy computer
The winner is spacesim
Also HOW THE HELL DOES SPACE SIM WIN THE COLLISION? IT JIGGLED.. IT CANT JIGGLE.. ON UNIVERSE SANDBOX YOU CAN'T TELL BECAUSE YOU FOCUSSED ONTO MARS.
Also universe sandbox is still in development
Planet collisions behave like that because at that scale material strength doesn´t affect too much to make things completly solid (other objects like asteriods collide like solids because they are small enough that the material strenght can affect on them) also the temperature and pressure of the collisions melt rocks
@@Novachronogamingso does spacesim
Let's say a pool is earth,
We throw an object and it ripples right?
Now when a small object let's say, an ant touches a drop of water.
The water's surface area pulls the ant into the water.
The ant can't escape it's to weak.
Kinda like how a human tries to bend a piece of metal.
Now if a big object like earth can bend materials easily making it very fragile.
Thus, making it jelly/liquid like.
Essentially it's just a lot of particles stacked together that move on impact
I don't agree with collisions because it is not realistic at all in spacesim XD
It is realistic.
You accidentally typed "spacesim" instead of "Universe Sandbox 2"
? Retardism?
To all the people saying Spacesim has more realistic collision, keep in mind that planets don’t turn into a jelly-like substance when crashing into something.
@@Roblocksgaming Does "something" include an object of any size and speed? Because SpaceSim planets don't turn into jelly when colliding with 70 km/h meteorites
no need to get job to get universe sandbox when you have spacesim
Bro has a potato computer
ngl you cate dock points for lag because it might be ur comuter sucks
