Front Air intake is not soo important. You only need it so you have defog inside for the visior. And front air intake- so more air comes in so louder your helmet will be. This one is fine and working perfectly. Important is the top air intake on the helmet to have a cool head. And there is plenty of cooling
I've had the Scorpion AT950 for 5 years and mostly loved it. But it seems heavy and lots of wind noise so I just picked up a Nexx X.Vilijord Carbon online. I'm kind of disappointed so far. It's not noticeably lighter, the manufacturer covered up blemishes in the carbon epoxy finish with lame sizing stickers, and I'm having buyers remorse at $789.99. I assumed a helmet made by a communications company would have some prewire done. Nope. I wish I would have gone with a Schuberth or Shoei now. I should have watched this review first.
Six hundred dollars?? For that price it needs to completely eclipse the Scorpion AT950, and I don't think it achieves that benchmark. Plus, I personally would never pay that much for a DOT-only lid. It's a matter of principle. I do like the overall look of it though. They got the shape and styling right IMO. It just needs a little more refinement.
Bought this helmet because i really liked the design but after using it for over 3 months i dumped it. The helmet is really heavy and the liner system is really poorly designed. Very difficult to remove and install, would not recommend. The visor also has a sticker for an anti-fog lens so that was another big turn off. If youre looking to get this, get it when it's on sale or something, not worth the full price.
Same thing , I have it for one year now and had so much problems...( heavy, front vent opens at high speed, its noisy, flip up system makes Hella noice after 1y ooh yeah also the special bought intercom system is really bad in all ways! its so far my most expensive and most shitty helmet after 14years of riding
Hey Revzilla ive seen this helmet with an ECE 22.05 rating, im curious as to why the one youre wearing is only DOT. The 2022 adventure collection on the NEXX website shows the Vilijord has a DOT and ECE rating.
We call companies out for having incorrect information on their websites all the time. These helmets are DOT only as they arrive in the United States - as shown in the video. They do have a ECE version of this helmet (without the DOT sticker), but it is an entirely different shell construction. If Nexx decides to combine those two helmets into one model (or test the DOT model for ECE compliance and sticker it as such), that's a different story. But as of shooting the video this helmet is DOT only. Hope that helps!
There is only so much that can be said about a modular style helmet, and we thought the other features of this Nexx held more merit and time talked about. 🤷 We’ll try better for you next time! If you have any other questions though, our CS team would be happy to dive into them for you.

*This is Proof that “LATEST” Models are Not Always Better.*

Idk know what to get now 😢 I just love the visor look
thanks for sharing your opinion, you are helping me to narrow down better my options. ... I am also a AT950 user trying to find a replacement.
Would love to see a side by side comparison to the Scorpion At950

I was wondering about that.. My 2016 Nexx XT1 from portugal has full ECE.
It's DOT only in the US market as that's all that is required. IF I buy one here in the UK its CE certified
it does have the ECE, just google it...i think this guy got it wrong
If this is only DOT rated then how come it comes up when I do the ECE 22.05 filter on the website?

Do you mean it doesn't use a pinlock?

@@DannyBBom It is a pinlock ready visor
I can get the carbon version for 160 € i guess thats a fair deal

'Department of Transportation' here in the US.
@@RevZillaAh, okay thanks 😇👌
Wow. A Fliptop video with hardly any attention to the whole point of this helmet. The Flip! Not the best video this time
