I don't have a favorite function. This channel is now my favorite source on how to use Excel functions. My hope for the new year is Microsoft will abandon their poorly written help section and it with links to Ms Gharani's video.
Totally agree. This channel is awesome to highlight things you weren't aware of. Some are useful and others are interesting but not useful based on your use case.
I have been following this channel for about 2yrs now. I have learned so much in that time frame and have become one of the top 3 users of excel in my office. I work in the finance department of a casino, and have been redoing all the workbooks to up date them. The filter function has become my #1 function to use. When i started my position 2 1/2 yrs ago i couldn't even use a sumifs. So Leilia, thank you so much for making these videos, you do a wonderful job explaining how the functions work.
I’ve started following this channel just a few weeks ago. Before that, my whole excel world was vlookup and subtotal. Now it’s become much more diverse! It’s really tough to pick my favorite! All thanks to this fantastic channel!
Fast enough for those familiar, slow enough for the learner. Detailed enough to be practical, summarized enough not to bore! Excellent tutorials as always! Thank you Leila! "Filter" is my favourite function
I love the fact that these are mostly dynamic ranges. Solves the issue of having to drag down formulas or use a pivot table to automatically update results when new data is introduced. My favorite function would have to be the "Unique" function because it helps isolate unique combinations so much better than manual filtering or using "remove duplicates" which requires modifying original table or copying and pasting a new range that can then be trimmed down.
I'm about to start a new job in a consultancy company after working 15 years in the construction contractors, and I need to develop my Excel knowledge, I'm very grateful for the videos, you walked me through a new word and I wanted just to leave a comment and thank you for the extremely informative channel. Thanks again and wish you the best in your personal and work life.
Who are these people that give a thumbs down - what sad people they must be? This is an amazing channel and Leila is the best ever and my go to person on excel who has saved me so many times. She is amazing, I love her.
The XLookup is going to be my new favorite! I'm excited to try that, and the new Filter function! Thank you so much! I'm looking forward to more of your demos!
I understanding a lot of function in your channel , but i just set with a friend and he started showing me the magic of those functions and i subscribed in office 365 and i found in your video exactly the same as my friend show me in excel , tomorrow i can go to the work and start include this functions in my reports . Thank you very much .
Leila ...you're a God send. You really are here on this earth to help people. I'm so grateful for you. You have NO idea how much I learn from you. Thank you so much!
Yes not an Excel comment but it comes to mind every time I watch one of your videos....i've watched a tonne of your videos going way back and you never seem to age a day. Stunning.
This video is the gift that keeps on giving ❤ Thx Leila & team!!! I've used it several times already as a reference for practical use of the new formulas, and did so again today. This time helping out a friend turning what would be a manual process taking hours manually filtering, sorting and adding values from a csv dump containing over 20K rows of billing data, to a simple selection via drop-down. Took just 10mins to do the formulas using an embedded FILTER inside SORT twice, also wrapped FILTER with SUM using the values from an adjacent UNIQUE array to provide totals on the fly - so easy! In the past this would be a much longer process, maybe with some macros or VBA, but no need for that any more and so much quicker to produce - the guy thinks I'm a genius haha. Although I will admit it did take me another hour to make it look good lol
Xlookup is awesome. It removes the need for a concatenate and the limit of the return value being to the right of the lookup. You just have to make sure that your audience also has office 365. This can sometimes be an issue.
My favourite is the x lookup. Love you can pick from the left and from different tables. This is the first clip I have watched from this channel, I cannot wait to watch and learn more
The combination of these new arrays functions is actually what amazes me : Sorting a filtered unique list is now so easy. ! I would appreciate microsoft to extend the spill concept to conditionnal (or non conditionnal as well) formatting : actually these functions provides dynamic range updates as far as values are concerned, but this not (yet ?) the case for the format... Thank you Leila, I really appreciate your videos & the way you teach. Happy new year.
Hi Leila, I like the way you explain. It make things easier to understand. I have learnt many functions from your video and looking more in future. Thank you 😊❤️
My favorite is using sort, unique, and filter all in one function. I use this formula a lot for work and it is has been really helpful for reports that are constantly updated. Great video
In the "Sort" function you stated at the 1:35 mark " … you can drag your range to a few cells below …". In the Sequence" function you stated at the 10:45 mark, " … I want it to spill so I'm going to go with hash …" Question: can the 'hash' feature also be used in the "Sort" function to make the "Sort" function truly dynamic? Not sure which is my favorite yet … Unique and Sequence are new to me but not quite sure of their usefulness just yet (possibly) … but Filter is a strong favorite because it is so powerful. Once again … thank you for your work … always well done.
UNIQUE is a life changer for me. I have been copy/paste and REMOVE(ing) duplicates for years to make summary tables. Now, I can do it with one function.
Xlookup is my favorite because I use it constantly. Runner up is Sequence. I wasn't aware of all except Xlookup which I recently discovered. Thanks for the video and keep up the great work!
Love them all (especialy filter within filter) but the if_not_found in the xlookup you told us is brilliant! Now I can stop putting the xlookup within an iferror() formula. As always, you are the best! Thanks.
Thank you Leila. Happy New Year. I like having them all in my tool belt. I'm glad Microsoft is still improving our options, making reports easier. My favorite is sort....and xlookup......and.....Thank you.

Where do I start. They are all very useful, and you have a special way of delivering them to us. One of the best tutors on RUclips!
I think I can listen to you all day. I am learning all the time I come and check your channel. Thank you 🙂
I combined Sort and Unique and it's made my report live so much easier, homg. I think that might be my new favorite. Filter, though, is the most used.

Leila. You are my favorite Excel person. You are smart, easy to understand, and you provide easy to understand content.
My favourite is Unique & Filter combined, I used them in most of the reports I made in 2020.
How are you using those? Can you give some practical examples.
Very powerful combo!

FILTER. Magic. Glad to see it was yours.
I did not know about the Sequence Function. That made my day.
Leila Excel Tips and Tricks are a great knowledge booster!!!
I used the Filter function. Yes, very easy and professional results.
In the "Sort" function you stated at the 1:35 mark " … you can drag your range to a few cells below …". In the Sequence" function you stated at the 10:45 mark, " … I want it to spill so I'm going to go with hash …"
Question: can the 'hash' feature also be used in the "Sort" function to make the "Sort" function truly dynamic?
