i must admit im puzzled what all the diodes are for? id have used resistors matched to the output voltages. are you just using low V and the Vf for diodes to control I?
A diode is an essential two-terminal electronic component that allows current flow in only one direction. In this particular circuit I'hv used total of 8 diodes for reverse current protection.
@@KarldorisLambley In this Circuit where a LED is connected to two pins of CD4017 IC.If one pin is High, the other pinof the IC will not receive the Same High Signal.Thats why IUsed Diode.
thank you for your polite and helpful reply the other day. could i impose on you again? - im making a battery powered laser ,i have a usb decoy thing i made into a cable, so i get 12v. then i use lm317 number one to limit it to 10v, then lm317 number 2 for CC to limit to 700mA, then i have 2 18605 cells, to which is attached lm317 number 3 to limit current to my laser diode, which i then switch with bd139. i know i miss out on all the charging protection stuff, but otherwise is my idea foolish? cheers
kit had more than 6 lights. they used custom logic.
Yah..
@@its015 sorry i was a bit brusque. it is still a cool and fun project for a beginner.
Thank You
impressive, i remmember to do this led effect with arduino, but without progamming is other thing.
It's possible. 🤗🤗
@@its015 yet id like to see it with solar panel charging a battery that feeds the leds. :)
❤❤
Thanks 🙏

@@its015 protection from what? i know what diodes are my friend. why should an led start providing a reverse voltage? it isnt an inductor.

I Can't understand what you mean.
