- Welcome to another Sprue Tour and this time it's the Kinetic Sea Harrier FRS.1 in 1:48. This will be on the channel as a full build at some point and I know there are some issues with fit but let's see what it looks like in the box.

That’s a good kit. Recently finished the Gr.1. Had a blast.
It's not as good as the GR!
@@thescalemodellingcafeI believe they’re the same molds except for a few pieces.
They tweaked the moulds for the GR, it's a much superior fit

Nice one Jamie. I agree that the pre Corporate scheme suited the SHAR. Looking forward to seeing how you get on with it. I must admit when I saw Peter’s video and summation I did hesitate about getting one (although to be fair he made a decent looking model out of it).
It just takes a lot of work, I know the instructions aren't great but it's easy to work out, I do think Peter went a little over the top.
For anyone who is thinking of building this i SERIOUSLY recommend you watch Peter Oxleys video on his experience of building this kit BEFORE you buy it.
After you've watched my upcoming series of course.....! 😄

Looking forwards to the build series Jamie - seen Peter’s rant(s) about it. I saw the aircraft (and a few others) depicted in box art at Yeovilton Air Shows in 1979 & 1980. Have listened to your and Mr Flory’s advice and have decided this will be an early build after my initial 6 or 7 starters. One question can you build either the FRS.1 or the FA.2 variants, or would I need both kits (FRS.1 AND FA.2) to build both variants
I think the FA.2 fuselage is different so no? But I'm not really sure, other than the fuselage I think it's possible?
