Her : “I thought cheerleading was like Pom Pom’s and like what they do in America” Where is NCA Where is Summit (D2) Where is worlds Ever heard of Senior Elite, Tglc, Smoed, Reckless, etc... where do you think all those are ?!?! 🤔
I love this but one thing that made me upset was that they said that their cheer is harder than America’s high school cheer because a lot of high school teams can do the same or better!
Sorry for the confusion! Im sure the girls weren't insinuating that they are better than any other team, as they were just excited at the idea of improving in themselves as an international cheer team. In this documentary we aimed to break the classic cheerleading stereotype for people who don't know much about the world of cheer. From the outside, many people don't know that cheerleading is more than girls dancing with pom poms on the sidelines of american football matches. In the UK sideline cheer isn't common which is what the girls we interviewed meant. There are lots of fun different types of cheer and we wanted to shine a light on the more athletic and disciplined side not often seen in this country and to celebrate one of the up and coming British cheer teams, Crimson Heat Tigers.
I never knew this was cheerleading. Lovely to see such a strong group of young women having a great time.
It was great for our crew as well since we also didn't know much about Cheerleading! We hope we can shine a light on an underappreciated sport :) x
amazing documentary to show what cheerleading actually is
Fantastic documentary guys! Will hopefully eliminate the stereotypes associated with cheerleading
Thank you very much! We hope so too!
