    In this video I talk about different tips to help you get through a deployment. When you are on deployment you are away from your family and your normal way of life. After a while, it can get mundane and boring after a while so it is important to keep a routine to stay productive.

    I’ve been following your channel for a while now and I recently finished navy Boot Camp and am currently in my first week of Corpsman A School. Could you tell me how corpsman deployments are since you were a corpsman before becoming a nurse ? My goal is to be a corpsman and than get my bsn to be a navy nurse, I’m a reservist by the way. Thank you in advance for any tips you could give me 🙏

      Hello and thank you for watching my videos! Congratulations on finishing bootcamp! Deployments for Corpsman are pretty much the same as I described in my videos because nurses and Corpsmen deploy together.

      @@itsestelarojas4713 thank you ma’am I’m very proud to have taken this route. I’m 37 so I was at a disadvantage from the majority of my shipmates but I managed to get through it. I have big goals that I want to accomplish so I’m not letting something like my age stop me from going forward and succeeding in the Navy, your videos inspire me.

    How many times have you been deployed as a nurse in the navy?

    • @itsestelarojas4713
      @itsestelarojas4713  3 месяца назад

      As a nurse, once. But, there are a lot of temporary additional duties (TADs) I have been on, too numerous to count that I have needed to travel to different states and countries.

      @@Adore_chaa yup, get your Bachelors. The military will always be there if you really want to serve. There’s also the ROTC program if you want to serve while going to school.

    Hello Estela! Can I join Navy nurse corps if I have two citizenships. Or do I have to renounce the non-American citizenship?

    • @itsestelarojas4713
      @itsestelarojas4713  6 месяцев назад

      I’m pretty sure as long as you have an American citizenship you are good. The best person to talk to about these types of administrative issues is a Navy detailer.

    Are their prescription medications that disqualify you from becoming a navy nurse

      No. You cannot take your family on any deployments. There are overseas duty stations where your family can go with you though.
