Thinking about the role of AI with doctors. In time, I can assume that AI would arguably make doctors obsolete but, there would be a transitional period where AI will be lacking in regards to human compassion and empathy, so a doctors role would be to essentially become the interface between the patient and the AI

I don't think ai will make doctors obsolete... Did it make engineers obsolete? No ..
Rather it will change the work profile... Just think of ai will help doctors in diagnosing or doing task which kills time... So that they can focus of other things which is research in medicine...
Further you would need someone giving a stamp of validation of the diagnosis.. No one trust a machine.. Let alone it diagnosing one who can get worse if error is present...Ai is not similar to how human brain works..it works on data which do contain error because we humans aren't perfect...data analysis can be wrong due to some missing part..or data may be complete wrt one but in reality one may have missed many chunks which would have explained many things...so is the reason why research in science is messed up and not absolute...ai can do complex calculations and modeling are done by machines and ai.. Still humans are present to analyse it and use the info..Any sane person will consultant a specialist rather than blindly accepting ai results...This is just to get double check..
Also one imp thing we miss is human intuition.. Even though we miss some details.. Still we get it right somehow based on intuition...

Social media companies and the governments that control them play humans like an instrument of nodes and connections. The internet is such a highly recursive network, and we're ultimately a particle system, it's pretty bad that big tech has the management that it does and decides how to mold history and the future. There's so much of internet history that is told wrong to old people through old school media like television, but I digress.
