Really enjoyed this interview. Clearly a thoughtful man. The live act is unfortunate 1980's blackface. It's strange how I wouldve hated him as a kid but respect this kind of talk with Costas.
the Maharishi at Madison Square Garden - to a kid in a foreign country, Klein and Carlin represented for all US hippies - until the movie Woodstock came around
I remember that show. It used to be on right after David Letterman's "Late Night". It was on at 1:35 AM every morning where TV sportscaster and Olympic host Bob Costas interviews celebrities from TV and Movies. Nothing's funny on there.
Great upload - thanks. Robert Klein was the first comic I loved as a kid. Still do.
One of the best comedians of his generation. Always cracks me up.
I loved Later. I wish they would show the reruns somewhere.
This guy is really my "idol" 'in terms of' a comedian combining brains & humor!
I could listen to an hour of Klein just talking about Gleason and Carney.
Wow, never seen him before, but most probably may have somewhere,, Great stories, Great Harp
Love both of these terrific guys- Costa remains my fav TV/sportscaster

He has great material plus has a brilliant understanding and delivery of comedy!
love Robert, very nice interview
Followed Klein for close to 45 years. Still funny as crap! (Whether he can "stop his leg" or not!) ❤❤❤❤
