    really enjoyed this tutorial :) - loved melody on barefoot in the dark in A starting on 2nd tone - as you said , challenging but it produced a really interesting melody

      @@frommusiciantoartist yeah , im kinda new to recording/production with a daw. I'm getting better with the software and I can lay down some ideas and loops but just can't finish a song !! Almost there 🤟🎸🎹

    Excellent video. Another method begins with the lyrics. Read the lyrics using your voice multiple times. Try different phrasing styles. Be aware of the differences between sections in the lyrics. Do that until you feel it comes natural. Chances are that sooner or later a natural melody comes in to your mind. No chords, no keys and no notes at the beginning, that could make your song unpredictable. Later, you have multiple options to dress your song with harmonies and fancy arrangements.
