I like how you break these down. It would be helpful if you gave several examples of songs that use these different types of bridges.
thank you for this educational video, just thinking of how to record and release my first song so this was very helpful :).
Thanks!
Thanks
My main issue is expanding; it's really hard to find elements compatible with the initial idea)
Wish you didn't have the background music. I cant stand loops. Good video. Nice work!

Too much talking and cannot see what he is playing ! Not even naming each keynote or chords by LETTERS 🔤🔠🔠🔠 is a shot in the dark! Poor lesson..
I thought she just used Bruno Mars song and flipped it. I should have bought you flowers to I could by myself flowers. And win a Grammy from a bitten song
Thanks for making this brother. It’s a positive message for people and it’s good for the world.
you should do this for Slow It Down or Pretty Slowly (other benson boone songs)
Sounds great - please play the thing!!
i literally searched 'is new to country really just one chord?' and found this video. great break down, thank you
Thank you for sharing! I experiment with all of these! It’s awesome to have a way to describe what I’ve been doing in my songwriting so it’s much appreciated

Wish we could be friends bro
Cool explanation ...bro
Hi I’m from Myanmar ❤
My bio describes my music, writing style, and where my inspiration often comes from. It’s me. I like it.
Thanks, that’s useful. I tend to be weak on bridges. Sometimes use a spoken verse or half verse, or an instrumental break. This video would have benefited from giving a good example of each of the five types mentioned.
This is very cool ! Love it when you do these and break down songs ! Thanks for sharing 🫶🏼
Hey hey! Always a pleasure Megan! Love doing them
Thanks for the DAW view
Oh good! Glad it helped
I really appreciate this teaching! I have been in the music industry for 40 years… I have done a lot of stuff… but my bios can become a list instead of giving that crucial element of “How can I relate” or “what’s in it for me” for the reader… this gives me a lot to think about. Thanks!
Thank you for sharing this! I love hearing about what’s useful. All the best with it! Hope it’s helped you write better bio’s
There is no box, man.
You don’t reckon?
Don't hate on Ai, it won't replace you. Some people just don't know how to use it and produce crap, but it does come close to the real thing.
No hate here! I'm all for Ai. I agree that it's the people using it poorly that are making everything difficult for music artists
1st person please
You're a fan of first person writing?
really enjoyed this tutorial :) - loved melody on barefoot in the dark in A starting on 2nd tone - as you said , challenging but it produced a really interesting melody
Oh so good! Thank you for your feedback, hopefully this can help you unlock some new melodies
Very cool and inspiring!
Hey thank you! Inspiration is the goal. We can learn so much from others
That's an instant sub from me. Greetings from South Australia :)
Great stuff Craig. I love the 60 minute challenge format. I’ve had a lot of fun with it in the past and watching your process has really helped. Thanks so much for sharing this.
Thank you for the encouragement! I think it's a great format too, I planning one where I with write for 60 minutes within a specific genre.. I think that'll be fun
Why are you so underrated. I am sharing this video!!!
Haha thanks Aaron! I really appreciate that man. Love it
is a songwriter the same as a composer
Hey! They are the same thing. Composer is the more accurate term for a song writer.
Very nice!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it
Hi ! Thanks for the video :). About the parts that can be recorded at home, providing the acoustic is good, (not talking about DI but acoustic guitar for instance, or even vocals ) would you say the Audient ID22 is professional enough for radio release quality ? I’m confused because people seem to say it has better preamps than the Apollo twin for instance, despite being less expensive. I have an Audient ID22 and I’m just wondering if professional results can be achieved with it or if I just shouldn’t bother haha. Other folks say Apollo Twin or RME Babyface are the minimum for pro recordings. Thanks !
Hey! I do not think cheaper pre amps are the barrier to pro recordings. It's all in the mix. You could 100% get pro level results from the ID22, no question.
Slow it down or cry would be good ones to react to. Thanks
You're right! two excellent example here, hoe good is he hey?
I listened to your reaction for beautiful things, benson Boone, it is very interesting and enlightening how,you break down a song from a writers perspective, i would be very interested in your follow-up reactions to get a more definitive perspective on how benson Boone is as a artist and song writer. I think he is very unique, and creative but I do not have the expertise you do to give a professional evaluation of how good or average benson Boone is, Thank you. Don
I like your thinking here Don. I'd love to unpack more Benson
Yes, benson Boone is very talented and creative in his song writing and design, I learned a lot from your analysis, actually appreciate the song more after your analysis, i would be interested in hearing your analysis of his song. “Slow it down” and “cry”. Lots of transitions in both these songs, it is his thing. Thanks.
100%
I loved this review! I would love for you to analyze my song "no roots" :) im a brazilian Singersongwriter!
Hey, I'd be happy to have a listen to your song!
Amazing video, your specific examples made it better for me to understand. New subscriber ❤
Love that so much! How's it all going?
Common for him! Unpredictable, and always better than first imagined. He has a gift! Wrote his first song, ‘GHOST TOWN’, two and a half years ago. Started singing four years ago. Yeah, I know! Hard to believe! Check out his story. Pretty amazing! Thank you for analyzing ‘Beautiful Things’. Good stuff! 👍😊
Since recording this video I have become a full on fan! He is so good!
Wow this was cool. If you want a rane of his songs i would watch drunk in my mind slow it down coffee cake greatest fear and hello love and cry.
Thank you! I’ve been on a Benson Boone obsession ever since filming this! Cry is probably my favourite
Hah that is awesome. Sorry for the typo. We have been benson fans since his first release ghosttown. I saw him in concert in philly and he is amazing live@frommusiciantoartist
Found this by accident, but from a listener point of view who has RUclips Music, I can actually see why this would be a good platform for musicians and could end up being the best place for them: no distributor; the algorithm is probably better at finding what you’re looking for; no limits on uploads and the subscribe and like buttons are right there in both YT and YT Music, so new uploads show up in their feed. The thing is - I tended to use RUclips Music for older music videos found only on here. Click like on anything that’s musical and those show up as music in the YT Music player. I’ve now got a good collection of playlists of both new and old music in YT Music and most comes from this (YT Music does also have it’s usual music as a cheap subscription which is also included with premium - which I have). I’ll just mention for audio quality - that all depends on how it was uploaded and they support lossless too. I used to sub to Apple Music and Spotify, but honestly I find everything I want here. If I can’t find it here or YT Music - Bandcamp. The only thing I’m not sure of is how well RUclips pay creators for say a 4 min song here vs YT Music once they hit the subscriber minimum vs Spotify etc., but you’re more likely to be found here than say Spotify where the labels dictate what they think you should listen to. No distributor also means not having to deal with Tunecore too, so that’s a bonus!
8:54 shew, that was close. Thought you said something else 😂
😂Liquor!
Aussie accent is pretty cool. Now -> neo, found -> feod
Haha nice one, where are you from? I’m trying to work out what pronunciation you’d use for those words.
The competition sounds awesome! Great thinking
Oh cool! I’ll keep you posted
Thank you
You're welcome
Nice studio and setup and gear. Very passionate lifelong musician here, just came across your channel, def will be checking out more of your content. only criticism I have is your choice of headphones, I highly recommend the Sony MDR headphones haha they are the best imo. :)
Nice! Thank you. These VSX headphones are new to me. They’re actaully so good for mix references. I rarely use headphone for mixing, I use my monitors. But the VSX allows me to virtually test them in a bunch of rooms. Love it.
