I prefer everyone/more people supporting affinity, a well already established creative softwares that is only second to adobe rather than making another new creative software from zero and have more scattered community. Cause with less community and less backup, it will be harder and take too long to take down adobe as the new industry standards. Because a new software with non subscription will either be lack of tools, lack of community supports, become subscription because lack of money.
I love Affinity, but it doesn't do everything that everyone wants and it doesn't need to. More competition is generally better for innovation so I'm excited to see what Abode can come up with, and as a backer I'm glad I'll have the chance to give input to the product. Particularly I hope we can get a Lightroom competitor at some point, something Affinity hasn't seemed interested in doing.
