The reason Godzilla likes to sleep in the colosseum is because the Rome architecture reminds him of his home temple that got blown up in king of the monsters…poor baby.

36:40 what makes this more adorable is that in the Novel it tells how kong was feeling during this scene “he was fascinated that Godzilla calmed down when he saw Mothra and seemed to know her, even tho kong didn’t know her he didn’t feel threatened, he saw that Mothra was able to actually talk to him despite HIS efforts trying to speak with him, he saw how Godzilla seemed very peaceful when Mothra spoke to him, he felt like they were "family" despite not being the same species.”

Skar King is not only the slave driver here but he's also a harem master. Mini-Kong is one of his offspring
They managed to make Godzilla look so cute in his cat bed (the scene with the coliseum was inspired by the directors cat). Also it was only after watching the reactions to this movie that I realized… this isn’t a Godzilla movie its a Kong movie and I have NO idea why I didn’t realize it when I first watched it in theaters. Probably was overwhelmed by awesomeness
The next film will be all Godzilla with possible having a Kong cameo since they are buddies now

They changed it. She's no longer the first Titan. Shimo was just one of the Ancient Titans that predates even Godzilla and probably, Dagon.

I love the natural progression of the bond between Kong and Suko. Even with that "I'll beat a motherfucker with another motherfucker" moment. And the fact that Jia was prophesized as a hero who can rouse Mothra from her slumber is amazing, same with her meeting other members of her tribe. Also, I not only love the "Aw, shut up" punch on the ape annoyingly running his mouth a few seconds before Kong met Skar King, but the part where Kong lobs a rock and creams the one ape in the head. 😆🤣
Fun fact: Dan Stevens also played The Beast in the remake of Beauty And The Beast.

18:02 Godzilla has in fact met Tiamat before you see after the movie king of the monsters Godzilla wanted to go to a old lair to rest but when he arrived to it Tiamat immediately jumped him and actually almost killed Godzilla but with EXTREME Luck Godzilla managed to kick Tiamat out of the lair and so she decided to move to Antarctica

Took my 5 y.o. Daughter to see both Minus one and then GxK. Minus one Godzilla she liked but some roaring scenes she hated and was scared. She said it was too loud and Godzilla was mean. GxK she loved but admittedly the showing was late and the movie was long for her and she fell asleep before the coolest parts. She fell asleep when Godzilla and Kong both arrived at Hollow Earth. Will have to let her rewatch it at her own pace on digital!
Godzilla takes his new look from the early millieum design in Godzilla 2000 and Godzilla vs Megagauris. They're prime RN. Campy but fun.

16:38 that’s the Daintree Rainforest, which is the oldest surviving rainforest on this planet (some 180 million years old I believe), and is only a couple of hours drive away from where I live in Far North Queensland / Wet Tropics. I couldn’t be more prouder that this film was shot so near where I live and I honestly they couldn’t have picked a better place as there’s really not really any differences between Hollow Earth and this part of Queensland at all

I knew of a few people that didn't really 'get' this one so I went in kinda wondering how it would sit in the franchise, but personally I loved it, once I settled into the vibe it was a blast. Also, Bridgette's fawning and ahhhhhing over Kong's sad face was adorable and funny.
Bridget with, "HE HAS THE CAIR"😅😂🤣🤣🤣...and other moments whith Cody too...just too many to talk about RN

This movie reminded me of that crappy Rampage movie with The Rock, This was the only monsterverse movie i didn't see in theatres because I knew just from the trailer they were taking the movies in a new "quirky" and light hearted manner, Watch the first Godzilla movie from 2014 then watch this one and see the difference in tone and style, First movies Deathnote, This ones The Looney Toons..

Comparing the Titans to Pokemon- Godzilla is a dragon/ water type, Kong- pure fighting, Skar is fighting/ dark and Shimo ice/ dragon type, Mothra bug/ flying.🐲💧✊🖤✊❄🐲🦋 Also Godzilla's color change is actually rose RED
i didnt care about the human storylines as much in this movie, but all the monster scenes were so fun and entertaining and Kong looks so cool with that grey beard and godzilla always looking like a badass
