Rhianna Background:
I was a travel nurse for 2 years before starting CRNA school. I loved travel nursing so much but I also love anesthesia, so I went back to school to become a CRNA. I plan to continue my travels when I become a nurse anesthetist! Fitness is also a huge part of my life. I've competed in powerlifting and Crossfit. I own a gym and am a nutrition coach!

Thank you so much for the feature Dr Webb and thanks for watching everyone! I hope you liked it and got a glimpse into SRNA life 😊
Yea it was great! Very insightful!
Rhianna I have question: So do you have a preceptor with you since you are a student while you are in surgery as an srna?
@@jillianhoover9225 We are always assigned to a CRNA who oversees us 😊
I love your energy♥️♥️
Rhianna Ferial Doggi is cute
i CANNOT WAIT to finish my bachelors in nursing, get my masters and then eventually become a CRNA
I'm also studying Bachelors. Can you suggest me, in which subject I need to do my MSc to become an anesthetic Nurse.
Joy Bhakto it is now required for you guys to get a DNP
Can I be admitted in DNP after completing BSc in Nursing from Bangladesh?
@@nicolelegemah6535 yeah this is what i heard. its 4 years after msn right?
Doctorate*
She's so bubbly and full of energy! Great video!
Yea indeed!
Thank you!
Took the words out of my mouth😄
I enjoy her videos ! Dr. Webb your page is full of motivation for me. I’m a student nurse with the goal of becoming a CRNA. Thanks Dr Webb
Awesome! Im glad you found the video helpful
By far my favorite person during an operation. Having had a gallbladder removal, a colonoscopy and 2 carpal tunnel surgeries, the nurse anesthetists that I’ve had have all been friendly, calming and a welcome voice when I woke up.
She makes it all look way too easy. To those that wish to become a SRNA, you need to realize the commitment is nearly the length of becoming an anesthesiologist. You need to complete a BSN, which is a 4 year undergraduate degree. Then you must work as a critical care RN for at least 2 years and become CCRN certified. Then you'll be eligible for an intense 3 year program, which most are becoming doctoral programs. Think hard before you choose any field medically related. Best of luck!
Anesthesiologist = 4 years undergrad + 4 years med school + 4 years residency = 12 years
CRNA = 4 years BSN + 1-2 years ICU experience + 3 years CRNA school = 9 years
But that’s including ICU nursing which isn’t even education. And that’s assuming that the education is of similar quality (like 1 year of nursing school or CRNA school I s roughly equivalent to 1 year med school which is crazy).
I always say this, would you rather do 12yrs in state prison or 12yrs in school and work. As long as you breathing and alive no matter what them years going to pass so why not just do it!
You're GORGEOUS and this video is super helpful! Thank you!
I love her positive attitude ❤️
Your outlook is so beautiful…I know it’s tuff but finding the balance and gratitude….this has truly motivated me on my journey
I love Rhianna’s channel! She does a lot of stuff besides SRNA work 💪
Thank you Adnan! 🥰
Rhianna Ferial Np, keep killing it! 🙌
Dude you are EVERYWHERE!!!!
Your energy is everything! Enjoyed this video, very motivating!
Yay I love her! She’s giving me inspiration to do this 💕
Thanks Sienna, you can do it!
The amount of skills you perform as an SRNA/CRNA is so exciting. I had no clue CRNAs were capable of doing so much! I'm so excited to be in your shoes one day.
You and I both
IDK why but when shes talking about doing this stuff, my heart palpitates thinking about having someones life in my hands like that. I really want to be able to do this kind of stuff for a career but im so afraid of doing something wrong and living with it for life.
I feel the same way, and I'm only 17 LOL; the thing is they definitely make sure to train you well, so be confident in yourself!
@@Luma_29 same way but I’m not even 17 yet.
That sounds awesome!!!!!! I was unaware that CRNAs were able to do central lines and A-lines. This video has helped to motivate me more!
Awesome! Keep up the good work!
You look like a very happy person. Congrats on finding and pursuing your passions.
Currently working in a surgical ICU, studying for my CCRN now, and planning to take the GRE by summer. God willing I can get into a CRNA program one day.
Thanks for vid! Keeping me motivated
Did you get in?
Can you do a video on how you study/how you take notes? I want to be a CRNA one day and I would love to see how you prepare for exams
I made one on my channel a few weeks ago 😊 Here's the link: ruclips.net/video/SsauNORRGEs/видео.html
Thanks for the great video, I learned a lot and I would really love to see more videos about nursing/specialties in nursing.
Thanks David. I will keep this in mind!
I can't wait until I reach the SRNA life! Thanks for the upload.
I love Rhianna!!
Love you Jillian! 😘
Insightful video! A very cool profession!
Yes, very cool profession. Thanks for watching!
i’ve always wanted to be a registered nurse. but i’ve also wanted to really work in an operating room specifically, but i don’t think i’d have to willpower to be a surgeon (surgery doesn’t gross me out, but i myself could not handle that much school and work). so my mom suggested a nurse anesthetist! i’ve been looking more and more into it and i rlly cant wait. i still have two more years of high school, though.
zavia romanova Me too, im on my last year of middle school and im really looking forward to this career. I used to want to be a surgical assistant but same its too much school, so im planning this career.
@@lus8112 Good luck but CRNA is also a good bit of schooling. To become a CRNA it takes 4 years of BSN then work for 2 years as a nurse in the ICU (depends on the programme maybe it has some that take in people with less experience but most I heard got in with about 2 years experience) and then 3 years of SRNA programme.Best of luck and remember keep your science subjects with good grades...all subjects are important but having a strong science background helps you to get into an SRNA programme ❤
Thank you for all the great videos and info.
What is the oldest SRNA you’ve met?
im a freshman in college going for what you do and do you have any tips that would help out
I laughed so hard when you said "bricks for feet" hahaha thank you for your video!
I love when they add the clips of driving away. Bc ik you guys have to get back out and go get the camera again😂
Loved this. I would love to see a video comparing your daily routine to a PA’s daily routine, sorta like the video you did with America
This video was so insightful. So glad I became a psych NP and did not choose CRNA route. Definitely not for me. Thanks Dr. Webb for collaboration. Good luck with your future endeavors Rihanna
Why do you feel it's not for you? Just asking im stuck between FNP and CRNA.
I enjoy talking to people and hearing their stories. As CRNA, you gather history, sedate and monitor vital parameters during surgery. Just was not for me. As psych NP, I develop relationships with my patients and monitor their progress which is more rewarding for me.
Omg two youtubers i love collabing 🤗 nice work
Thank you!
ha thanks!
I wish I could be that happy at 4:30am
Hey Rihanna, I hear a lot about “front-loaded” programs where all the clinicals are at the end. Is your program not like that?
Hello ,
I have a question. Are you paid during clinical ?
I’m subscribed to her channel, she’s a sweetheart. 😊❤️
Aw thank you so much ❤️
Good stuff!
I start clinicals in 11th grade I go to A healthscience and engineering school so clinicals is the end of my pathway
Nice, I like that vlog
Thanks for watching!
Is the schooling hard ?? I just finished my BSN and I want to further my education but it feels so good to be done
is 2nd year also the final year?
During the cases do SRNA’s have supervision from an anaesthetic?
If you could find a NNP student to do one of these I would be very grateful. They have like 0 social media presence lol
I will look into this! Thanks for watching!
im a nurse anesthetist and im looking to get my equivalence in your country so do have any tips or sth ?!!! please
In CRNA school, are you by yourself or do you have a clinical instructor/mentor there with you?
Do you get paid during clinical ? Wonderful videos btw I am an RN and an aspiring SRNA in the near future.
this just proves it for me...you're a Superwoman. :-)
Thanks Steve 💜😊
What did you do when you were a Travel nurse? Were u an icu nurse or telemetry step down,?
Hi...i want to do the same course that you are doing can you tell me what steps you took to become a registered Nurse Anesthetist?
Please
How hard is SRNA so far?
So what do you after college to be anurse anesthetist??
WOW! You can lift THAT much?! I am humbled!
How do you afford living and paying for school? I’ve been stressing sm about how I’m going to be able to live and pay for necessities while paying for school
I find it funny how whenever she sets her camera down to record her leaving, because you know she had to go back in and pick it up before she actually leaves
Great video!! I have a question so when you are in school to be a CRNA besides going to nursing school and the CRNA training is there any other type of training you have to do before applying for CRNA?
Thanks! Yes you also have to work in the ICU first and take the GRE, get certifications, etc.
The typical timeline looks like this:
Undergrad BSN: 4 years
Working in ICU: 2-3 years
CRNA school: 3 years
Rhianna Ferial hey so CRNA is basically the same amount of years as a doctor ..?
Jada Ah’Nya well yes however for a doctor you still have to do residency which takes several years depending on your specialty
Notification gang
Great video
Thanks!
Thanks!
Hi, I just have a question. Do you need to be a BSN to get in to CRNA program and how long does it takes to be a CRNA? Thanks in advance.
Jesse James, you will need a BSN. I’ve mainly looked at programs in Texas so I can tell you a little about what I know from them but it would help to do your own research. In Texas you need a BSN so about 4 years then most of the programs are asking for at least one year in ICU but they prefer 2 years. After that you get into school and it takes 3 years to complete the program.
Shakera Guidry Okay, Thank you so much! I thought it takes another 5-7 years after undergrad.
Nobody:
Rhianna: It's only 4:30 a.m.
I just turned 30 is it too late for me to start going to college in order to become a CRNA? I went straight into the military at 18 instead of college...part of me feels like I'm starting a bit late...
Never too late man. The time will go by whether you are in school or not so make good use of it. I am in crna school with people in their late 30’s and 40’s. The military will give you that drive to complete school quickly even while working (Army vet).
wish to become a orthopedic surgeon and if that goes sideways ill try go for this
Great video. I hope I can find a lady like her.
How do you work?
Hello people I’m a junior in high school and was interested in being a CRNA but looks like a lot of school and noticed she was a student so can you work and go to school? And not entirely sure what a CRNA does so is there anything I should know before going to college
Wow!! Are you located in Ohio/Pennsylvania? I lived there for a year and the drive home looked so familiar! I miss those scenes 🥰
Wow okay so after finding Rhianna’s YT, then instagram, then gym instagram 😂 I see its WV!! My MIL lives in Steubenville, Ohio and we would frequently pass through WV into Pennsylvania where my husband and I lived! How awesome. I just got accepted into my nursing program down in STX, still have a few years to decide between becoming an NP or CRNA! Awesome job Rhianna! Such an inspiration 🥰🤩 everything from the gym ownership, master’s degree, veganism & fostering is so motivating!
Amazing routine Rhianna, keep it up and thanks Dr Webb for shining a light into SRNA life. Its amazing how little people know about SRNA/CRNA.
Thanks Joe!
Do you not take naps? :o
Hallo..
I have diploma in anesthesia and recovery and bachelors degree in nursing.
Is that enough to be CRNA ?
I have 20 years experience anesthesia technician.
Thanks
John Meehan
I heard some news that by 2025,there will be change in CRNA process,it would required a Phd degree in. 2025,my question is "Can we able togo straightly in phd with BSN degree whithout undertaking MDN(master degree)? How long would it take to complete your training as CRNA,is it still 7-8yrs.?or more than
This is an old comment, but just Incase you were still curious, it is a DNP now, and is three years long. You can go straight from BSN to DNP.
Pediatric cardio thoracic surgeon next please
I will look into this! Thanks for watching!
Do you have to be there the entire time the surgery is being performed?
Good question. They usually get breaks throughout the case meaning another CRNA or anesthesiologist will come relieve them
Antonio J. Webb, M.D. okay thank you!
Do you have to clean bodily fluids and bathe people? Idk if I wanna be a nurse.
Roxy Coco uh that’s what is a nurse is hunnie !!! Imagine that x 6 patients for 12.5 hours straight three times a week
Do you have a nickname
Can i be a crna in Canada
What city does she live in?
I was thinking that too 🤣🤣💀💯.
Looks like there's zero time for dating, family etc. I don't know how you don't constantly burn out. but well done and the Olympic lifting was epic
Wow even MD’s study off of PowerPoints very interesting.
Yes, whatever it takes ha
How much do you make as a crna? Do you get paid as a srna?
Lol Lol usually they get paid minimum $150K a year. Srna’s don’t get paid because they’re students
150-230k a year. I hear Montana is a high paying state
I’m aspiring to be a crna waking up at 4 am I don’t mind at all my neighbors wouldn’t be to happy with my exhaust 😂
ha, that's funny!
Nice coat.
I have a question? How old are you? This is my dream job, but I don’t want it to take 100,000 years if school!🤦🏾♀️
There are short cuts to get there. I'm currently getting an easy bachelors online for 1 year. Then I'll apply for BSN Second Degree Nursing which is 1 year bsn program.
AIR LEBRON how??
Gabriel there are accelerated nursing programs.
This is kind of wierd but I'm only in 7 grade and I already am wanting to become a nurse anesthetist
Awesome! You can do it!
Thank you
Student and registered?
Are there male SRNA
Yes, lots of them
Hi . I come from Vietnam. I am also a nurse anesthetist like you. Can I ask for information to contact you? Can I chat and ask you about anesthesia in your country?
First
What you doin with my last name lol
gym tan nursing
I’m sorry to bring this up but what is going on with her cheeks? She is very pretty but something is up with her face. No cap.
