"He would drive a large Mercedes to a fight and occasionally during that fight, a game of football might break out"
This is what I adore Top Gear so much for xD
Instablaster.
Interesting fact: Literally right after this interview, Jeremy introduces Captain Slow for the first time.
What season is this you know?
niemanickurwa
Season 2, episode 1, May 11 2003. Good times...
So Hammond was already on?
Detomaso Pantera yep, Hammond was there from day 1
Funny how James’ first appearance was aired in *May*
Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels is my favorite Vinnie Jones movie.
Agreed it was like an English version of a Quentin Tarantino movie. Great performance by Vinny scary but likeable.
He is in snatch a lot more tbh but yeah, lock stock is awesome too
that's my favorite of all movies man. guy ritchie is a genius
Lock stock and snatch for me
Eurotrip
What Clarkson says at the start is so true. Footbal was actually fun at that time :)
I will forever know him from Euro trip.
yes :)
And the funniest part was that he was cast as a Man Utd hooligan.
Lock stock and Snatch are my favorite Vinnie Jones movies . He also played an excellent villain in the Condemned .
He played a good part in Gone in 60 seconds
great actor..loved him in snatch. "because he dodges bullets Avie" hahahah
Avi*
Thats y he is bulletproof tony
Loved this early series of Top Gear.
That was all the audience they had. This was season 2 so this was just the beginning. Around the end of season 2 the audience began the grow.
Older. This is from Series 2, so it was filmed in 2002 or very early in 2003 thereabout.
His eyes when he smashed the watermellon brought back memories 🤣
Vinnie Jones in 'shes the man' was so good
I loved him in Snatch, incredible actor :D
My mean machine💪💪🇬🇷❤
he looks like a debt collector
And that's why people like me loved him on the pitch, had the thuggish looks to back up the raw attitude on the pitch.
05:08, literally no one in the audience. Fast forward to the last series of Top Gear that Clarkson, Hammond and May were in and it's incredible how epically this show grew in stature.
'literally'? There were people in the audience
Got watch the first episode there was like ten people I'm sure most of them where camera men 😂
You can hear them all laughing and clapping ffs.
such a badass guy
First saw him after his brief stint on the flash show when it wasnt (as) trashy, actually a chill guy
He played Sphinx on the remake of Gone In 60 Seconds!
He was the strong silent type-guy, so he was my favorite character. xD
That film was beastly.
=D
what a legend!!!
This guy is a jewel.
It's the end of season 1, or the beginning of season 2, I'm not sure. Hammond was in from the start, I watched a few of those first season episodes recently and it so funny how they were trying to be polite to each other. Hammond insults Jeremy, and Jeremy laughs but has the face expression like "you're getting fired at the end of the season, just wait"
change the discription, Vinny didn't turn into a Hollywood hard man.. he was nails when he played football LEGEND !
There are no hardmen in football, put Vinnie in the ring with a boxer. He'll be knocked out instantly.
now that`s my fav by him!!
he wasnt happy at the end
"It was actually a block of wood in Lock Stock". "Well, it's a watermelon in this" lol Bring back Clarkson and Top Gear!
vinnie jones what a legend
@TheLizzylizzy He seems pretty popular in the movies that make it to the states with him in it.
Snatch is my all time favorite lol
Damn - that wasn't a scene from "lock, stock..." - i was from "Snatch":))) justlove this guy - i believe he was callet Bullet Tooth Tony:))
this is just the best
Vinnie is freaking badass
@TheLizzylizzy
To me he is Bullet Tooth Tony ... :">
The good old days
saw him in Chuck, what a show they both are
isnt this a re-upload? did you see the lap times there were only 10 people w/o vinnie. and i remember watching this last year sometime..im not saying its bad!! because the interview is funny! what smart car was that? ive never seen a non box looking smart car before
vinnie jones is the man!
He looked upset about his time .. :P
I want to have polish subtitles to this interview. Help me please! ;(
MEAN MACHINE!!!
funnily how now the ad has been removed since i commented.
he is the man.
@ihateblink182 Not true that is an utter sweeping generalization if I've ever heard one. I have talked with Vinnie and he's one of the nicest blokes around!
@HCD08 You are right, I saw that detail too... and tha flat screen in the bottom it is also smaller.
Now that I see Vinnie on here, I have to watch the movie Snatch again. Lol
SPHINX :D
Yes lol
love vinne
@LordPayne I think this was around the time they had a fire at their normal studio, so they were in a much smaller room for a while.
i couldn't hear what was his first car ? :/ i got the mark 4 part but what is the car ? can someone help ?
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ford_Cortina#Mark_IV_.281976.E2.80.931979.29
Top Gear ftw. nuff said
@kdotmj no, it is about 2002 - 2004
what does he mean when he says sued... again?
wow the audience is so small! how long ago was this?
i watched that last night :) lock, stock and 2 smoking barrels lol
Is this before or after he done big brother?
Jeremy says he's not a 'footballist'. He's been at BOTH of Chelsea's Champions League final wins.
Yeah, he got into football through his son when Chelsea were good
This was before the show became so popular
Strange to think here he's just 38. Same age as for example Luka Modrić who is still playing at that and Vinnie aready like 5 years into retirement at this moment.
It's the sphinx!!
Yeah that movie is pretty awesome.
youtube put up that add not the BBC
vinnie is awsome
@1911fan181 actually he talked at the end... like one line XD
@soundseeker63 Oh, I had merely assumed it was the first season by this point.
Thanks for bringing me back to this comment section, I now see that it was a number of issues.
Was this after he went on Big Brother?
It's the previous season on BBC America. It's pretty much to try to make us get expensive satellite to get regular BBC.
Vinnie's got some balls. Probably Gazza's? 😳
@MissyWatson The reason they have little audience is because at one point they could only have BBC employees goto the show they couldn't have the public come to it. Not sure why just remember a friend from England worked for the BBC and told me about it.
wierd that there is no one in the crowd, now their always packed
Leeds legend
@killdac this is an old episode dude :p
DUDE yeah i noticed that too!!
so funny...
@for1nt Unfortunatly, yes I know him because of that movie...
@BurningFliesAlive its the roadster they have in europe. Check out the smart brabus roadster...one of these with a v6. lol
@MrNannerman because its such a famous show, its not normal for it to have an audience that small for a show that has the biggest ratings ever, and if you think this is the first season it's not, its the third
Hehe, probably the best top gear interview ever :) this is my third time wathing it :D
I hope one day James will say that in the show.. xD
He was the bad ass guy from gone in 60 seconds! lol Love that movie, never knew who played him though.
It's from S02E01 in 2003.
About 2004
1995-"H"U"M"M"E"R"-2002
Yeah, it was. I loved that part. lol and what he said was great too.
Gone in 60 seconds!
At least 3 years ago.
Vinni jones double
@Pmccaff2009 yes
My uncle was in one of his movies ;p
A proper bloke :D
Actually the 2 are very different: soccer is played with a round ball, football (like rugby) with an oval ball. Other difference is that in stead of a goal (soccer) they score by kicking the ball through poles (football) AND in soccer you can`t use hands where in football you can, to name a few differences =)
ACTUALLY,soccer is originally called football "played with the foot". Rugby football "named after the school" was a variation where the hands were allowed to be used. This became shortened to rugby. Hundreds of years later the Americans decided to call their armoured rugby American football which at that stage of the English language made no sense.
He was also in "Lock, Stock, and Two Smoking Barrels" a great movie.
@Qwayke2000
yes
hard tackling midfielder.. the extinct breed of english football
vinnie jones is a fuckin legend
studio is empty?
Aye, 'pretty boys' nowadays playing on immaculate Pitches.
football in the grone
you sure about that? You may want to check it out. Why would my friend who worked at the BBC tell me that if it was wrong? Now you do realize this show has techinacally been on for a very long time? It left the air for awhile and came back in 2003 it has a very large following even back then. Do some research let me know what you find as to this.
brb
Going to watch Snatch again.
yer it was before cbb you can tell this is the old series by looking at jeremy and richards hairstyles lol
that smart car has just 3 nuts on the wheels!
