Pile 3 here. I've been sick almost consequently for 3 months now. And i realised yesterday that it was a way for me to slow down, concentrate on the real work I need to get done and let the people who create trouble for me do their thing. I just concentrated on my family and my house and real work. They used to call me venting about their troubles and when I offered them real love, help and advice they either reacted poorly or asked me to get them out of trouble. I started saying "No" . Pile 3: Make sense. I often think back how one wrong decision can impact the rest of one's life. I remeber that day when I met the "ex from "nightmare lane", I had the chanse to walk away and not go on a date as my innervoice was in a doubt. However, I asked my mother instead and she told me to go, so I went. That was the experience that I regretted (and still do) for the rest of my life as it had many consequences. On the other end, I am aware that there are people who even lose their lives in such circumstances, so I am ok, but it brought a big demage spiritually,mentally and physically. For this, I always tell people(especially young ones) if you need to make a decision and it does not feel 300% ok- don't do it! Unless, not doing is going to end up being worse of course.

Pile 3 here. I've been sick almost consequently for 3 months now. And i realised yesterday that it was a way for me to slow down, concentrate on the real work I need to get done and let the people who create trouble for me do their thing. I just concentrated on my family and my house and real work.
They used to call me venting about their troubles and when I offered them real love, help and advice they either reacted poorly or asked me to get them out of trouble.
I started saying "No" . And suddenly it was as if my throat started realising itself and opening up.
I recently realised that a person that hurt me years ago did it because he believed that I would be "damaged good" and others would discard my value. A show us in ly head replaying the scene, only this time I heard the inner voice of everyone involved. And I realised that my value hasn't diminished, how could it have anyway?
It was I that I thought less of my value because of what it had happened. Recently, I've been saying whenever someone behaved badly " I will not be involved in this. I do not deserve to be treated like this. I respect myself so I will walk away".
It has changed things on my behalf so much! I do not have the time, patience and courage to be drawn into meaningless games any more. And, just like that, my anger almost evaporated. Because I was actually choosing to actively say what I should be saying to those people demanding crazy delusional things from me and me trying to respect them. All these bottled up feelings were coming out on the wrong people afterwards because I was too stressed out, too spread everywhere.
Being present on everyone's life isn't my thing, being your personal assistant isn't my thing, being constantly your personal psychologist isn't my thing.
Being me ,respecting my time and energy, giving to my family and people deserving it is my thing. If my boundaries are understood I will be there for you, of not you can go vent elsewhere.
