I'm proud of my African heritage and it's nice to here the Gospel that came to Africa on different languages and today a Swahili song is on top of the world and spreading the Gospel..Kindly right those lyrics in Swahili aswell hence some of us our original motherlanguage played a very big role in the composition of Swahili Language..

Just like the "italian" who are "proud" for Civ 6 "Sogno di volare", your pride is absolutely stupid...
This song was entirely made by an american, using instrument that are nearly all non native of African continent.
Yes, it is swahili Christopher Tin decided to use for this song.
But that's basically a non-African, composing a non-African song with non-African instruments orchestra, and using a swahili language better to make something greater than any song in swahili made by swahili themselves ever achieved...
An american just succeed to do better with your own language, but yeah "you're proud".
Just as stupid as italians daring taking proud for a song they were for absolutely NOTHING part of, just because Christopher Tin just decided to use their language for his great composition.
Achieve nothing of your own, and take pride for someone else from a foreign nation achieving to do better than what you and your people ever achieved with their own language.
      Yep... Well placed pride.
Sorry, i'm being a huge dick here, but that doesn't make me wrong and it has to be said.... You're taking pride for something great you and not even your people were ever part of.
Doesn't remove the fact it's nice to have some unpopular language being promoted every now and then.
But yep, definitely not a pride of Swahili people or African people. You did absolutely nothing to make this achievement of a song happen. An skillful american and his orchestra did....

Thank you SO MUCH for this! I tried to find this a number of times, but it never came up. Then today it just popped up on my YT tiles! I will def. put it to good use. This song is one of the prettiest things I've ever heard! I do hope the translation says what it is supposed to say; they could be making us sing ANYTHING, YA KNOW!

Very easy to keep up with and read(say/sing). I am doing this song at my ensemble group and got the musical papers with lyrics too. We had to learn it and this made it very easy! It also was easy to keep up with when I tried to learn the musical notes and rhythm and beats to each word. Great idea to make phonetic lyrics!

This is helpful beyond compare. Straight swahili is insanely hard to decipher for an English speaker without prior training in it. The slowed down bit of the syllable salad at the end is also much MUCH appreciated. (shake that high voice sings over part of it though. ^^;)

If you can pronounce djinni like in the Aladdin and the djinni (jee-ni) cartoon then the um-jee-nah is not correct, the proper pronunciation is Jina ‘jee-na’ not um-jee-na just to mention a few words off pronunciations. Encore Encore you did a splendid job Christopher Tin. Swahili is a beautiful language karibu.

I doubt I'm the first to point this out, but the passage you transcribe at 3:02 as "Mgee-na la-co eh lee-too-kuz-weh" sounds much more accurate than what you have transcribed at 0:13-0:32, and several other places, as "Jee-na" and "leh-ee-too."
Might I invite you, calmly, and politely, to have another listen at those passages. I think "Mgee-na": and "eh lee-too" are correct throughout.
