I didn't know your dad but I had the pleasure growing up watching and listening to him and he seemed like a very genuine guy. Life's far too short and hope you saved some good memories and are making your own life a meaningful one to you, your family and others!

I remember the Merv Griffin Show growing up. I'm a 70's / 80's child. Mr. Griffin, funny also :)

I would love to have known your dad...the way his personality pulled us in always made me feel like we should have been friends. When someone clicks with another person and gets their "tempo" that's pretty special chemistry. The way he seemed and what he made of his life I will always feel a sense of loss not knowing him in person. We did meet briefly once in California and he was gracious. His way of looking at someone's face as they spoke showed how he loved listening to people...you are a lucky man to have had a life with him as I'm sure you know :) Robbie

Your father was a joy to see every time we stayed at the Beverly Hilton! My child especially loved riding the elevator with Charlie Chan.. the faithful loyal guardian of your dad. He loved my child's curls. So many memories of seeing the legend and I'm still feeling them when I go stay at the hotel. Family is there right now, I'm home sick. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

I went with Tony when I was ten. He took me to see league of extraordinary gentlemen and I went to dinner with him and his family. I have a picture of me and him and Santa. He's a really nice cool guy. I wish I could meet him again but I'm not rich nor am I ever going to have a chance to. I really appreciated hanging out with you and your family and it definitely left a mark on me because I have always remembered those times.

He was a great talk show host and one of the smartest, shrewdest entrepreneurs of all time. I believe he also had the last known TV interview with the late great Orson Welles just hours or days before he passed on to eternity.
