Look, I love the picks, especially as human beings, but we've got the stud QB that we waited 2 decades to get on his 7th season. This was the best WR class in years, there's hardly any cap space left, you just lost Diggs AND Davis, and you don't even try to go up to get a top one, you don't double dip early, you don't even double dip at all??? Bills want to win a SB, let me ask you something then, how many top 10 players do the Bills have right now? 2? 3?

@@archcunningham5579 That was my initial thought, that they would somehow find the cap space to go get a top vet, but Beane said yesterday that that would absolutely would not happen. A few minutes ago they got WR Quintez Cephus, who is coming off a year suspension for gambling.

They don’t have the money to do it right now, which is why they cut so many and brought in youth. This year is about resetting the leadership core in the locker room, getting younger and cheaper. Next year they’ll be able to be more aggressive assuming these moves are successful.

  • @rockutron9000
    @rockutron9000 5 месяцев назад +1

Considering the WR talent they passed on, this is potentially the worst draft in history. You go through all that to trade back and you don't even get the top safety or a safety that at least matches your style of play (insert Kaiir Elam flashback). The later picks show some promise, especially the C from Georgia, but my god, the biggest crop of WR talent ever drops into your lap just at the moment you need it, and you draft one dude who doesn't run routes, can't separate, and is a project you could have gotten in the third or fourth round. Can't go higher than a D on this complete hack job.

guys it's a bit naive to be preaching hope for no real reason. The part you lost me was saying worthy scoring a touchdown be balanced by a 3rd round depth dt that honestly we might have draft anyways early in the 4th making a hypothetical sack. I actually do like the dt we picked up as well as a few other players we picked up but realistically the lower in the draft we go the less impact at least in the immediate sense they will make. Especially with McD seeming to have a freshman bias on players only letting them get true chance to start in year 2. I'm fine with hoping for the best but at the same time there is being an informed fan and being a homer claiming they will go to the super bowl in years they won't make the playoffs (not saying that is this year at all more describing the clueless fan type)

I am a hr guy and bean did the right thing. Look at the production of the team the last 8 games? They didn’t need diggs and they did awesome. Now we have more experienced players from last year with these new players spells success. Please compare the chiefs and the packers wide outs. They didn’t have a true number 1. I rather have 3-4 good receivers who produce instead of a super x receiver who doesn’t produce when we needed him to. A on the draft! Don’t be surprised if bean finds a way to pick up Brandon A from Sf! He likes to have mentors guide the rookies.

I think Brandon Beane has another plan. There were so many needs to fill, and getting another receiver didn't happen because, IF we didn't spend the draft capital necessary to move into the Top 9 picks to get one of the top 3 receivers of the draft, I think:
    1) The Bills #1 receiver might NOT YET be on the team.
    2) The Bills will either trade for a veteran #1 receiver (to bring Keon Coleman along slowly), OR pick one up as a free agent signing on a 1 year veteran minimum salary OR pick up a good veteran WR who failed to survive final cut-down
    3) A few less prominent players already on the Bills roster are READY to step up thereby enabling more pass yardage accumulation "by committee."

If Bills fans weren’t thrilled (and I was ecstatic) with Ray Davis…they will be. He might have been my favorite pick of the day value wise. He was a stud at Kentucky. I was expecting a WR at that spot or with our third rounder but I was ecstatic with Dwayne Carter as well as Ray Davis to me the Bills get a B plus draft imo. I think they had a sneaky good draft. The C from Georgia was again such great value and I believe he’ll be a starter for many years to come, he has that potential

Everybody's complaining about the lack of talent. Ther've been far lesser rosters that have gone further than what we've produced the last seven years.... We have more than enough talent between receivers, Tight ends, and pass catching RB backs. Not every team's going to have 2 star 1a/b receivers on it. You could count on one hand in the entire league the teams that have that. This year comes down to coaching, plain and simple. Defense needs to close it out when we get to the playoffs, And the offense needs to be well rounded and fundamentally sound. McD and the coordinators need to step up.

This is part 1 of the Bills rebuild, part 2 comes next offseason. Forget the Chiefs because its unlikely the Bills will be good enough to beat them next season. They might still be good enough to make the playoffs, but this is a rebuild on the fly that is likely targeting 2025.

  • @williamlane7677

Well said Ryan. The Bills don't make draft picks on what the fans want. They have their grades. They have their board and they follow it.
I wish they would have double dipped at receiver. Troy Franklin fell in the draft and then Malik Washington fell a little bit. I wish they would have got one of them but, if they didn't have a good enough grade on them in the spots they picked then so be it. Just got to trust the process.

Who in this receiving group in the divisional round is getting separation for Allen when Bills are in the red zone with szn on the line in 4th qtr? We’re missing that and we have a new OC. Bills don’t even have enough roster spots for these players in season. Let it play out but this is now a playoff roster not a SB one as far as expectations

You guys are the best of the bills coverage. You can’t be serious about a 30 year old Mack Hollins and a Kj Hamler who has played 10 games the last 2 seasons. Call it what it is. We have major need at WR and they went back to back defense in then2nd and 3rd. Traded back to really take 4-5th round picks. And how can you not question beans draft picks? He’s drafted 2 1st team all pros (seasons). 2. in 8 drafts.

yea I agree completely in our wr room still being extremely lacking especially the more I look into Coleman experts saying he's more of a big slot on account of his lack of separation. It truly bothers me how little beane seems to value wrs especially considering how high the salaries for good ones is going. I feel like we needed to take a few swings this draft when we didnt get one of the top 4 guys and only wrs with consistent chance of being an actual number 1 wr. Now our best bet is to overpay a veteran hopefully on a short term prove it deal or trade for one we need to overpay to keep happy. It seems like we cleared all this cap space only to waste it on digga 31 mil cap hit and needing hopefully to pay his replacement. I just worry the plan is to have a so so year where we end up drafting in teens or high single digits putting all hopes into all the draft picks we seem to be stocking next year. I just don't trust beane's ability to.draft consistently good players. To often he fails to evauluate young talent properly (ie letting wyatt teller walk and drafting poorly at skill positions imo) or just being to inconsistent as he seems to have moved to taking as many chances as he can versus trying to identify specific prospects they want... maybe I'm wrong as I'm certainly hoping beane proves me wrong and somehow Coleman turns into an all pro X receiver and not a decent big slot wr. Just really lost a lot of faith in bills braintrust this offseason. If the plan is to take a half step back this year to properly compete for rest of Allen's career then have the balls to say it rather than trying to rob the fans who spend good money to watch what will be a very flawed team not expected to go far due to lack of weapons. I just hate that the only benefit we have of a defensive specialty head coach in McD putting out a respectable defense despite lack of superstars is wasted by always overdrafting defense...

It's hard to draft 1st team all-pros when you're picking at the end of the round every year.

This draft is perplexing. Beane say you draft “best available” but now it’s drafting for need. Not a recipe for success. As always, the results will be judged in 3 years and their jobs are on the line just as the new stadium with higher ticket prices is scheduled to open.

He's a bust. I feel confident saying that. I'll eat a real dead crow if I'm wrong. And I'm a man of my word. I hate dead animals but I'm that certain. Now, if they made him a te, he'd be legit maybe. They laid an egg on this one. Now, if they trade for a legit long term number 1 not 28+ yrs old, then I'd be willing to lay off. But even then, that Coleman pick was eye raising. Bean has something lined up. I also believe that he had a different plan, he just wanted the player to fall instead of moving up. I think that could've been the Jacksonville wr. Btj. I think he saw kb in Coleman. It seems their trying to build a Carolina team 2.0 instead of just building a buffalo team. I think they did wonders for this team and brought a lot of entertaining fb to y'all city. But it may be time that your ownership says enough. He owns the sabs to, ain't it? That team is a bunch of gutterballs as well. No offense. I feel sorry for y'all because I have to admit, that city is the most loyalist of a fanbase you'll find in north America whether ppl want to admit that or not. Yall deserve way better man. It's a damn shame tbh.

Worthy is 160 pounds with stone hands, Coleman is huge with vice grips, going against weak small CBs this day and age. Leave the scouting to the scouts
