I got the TR-8 and the TR-06 they work great together, lobbing my DFAM through the 06 you can get up to all sorts of dirty mischief. Turns out I really like drum machines.
How ,,' i do the old skool noncomputer,, so how doyou get both machines without a mixer . Sound ing from speakers also , r u using trigger or trigger cables and midi .. really want min😂 going , but they dont sound from one speaker monitor what am i doing wrong

I threw away my TR-606 thirty years ago because it was broken and I couldn't figure out how to fix it. Not long afterwards I figured out what the fault was. I've been kicking myself for thirty years at this stupidity. Buying a TR-06 will finally allow me to forgive myself and be at peace once more - I loved that machine.
Wow, really nice machine it is! I have already TR-8 with 7x7 expansion, but will get TR-06 it adds more flexibility and is so cool machine to be paired with my 03. The inbuilt effects are cool feature. Thank you Roland! 👍👍👍
Finally a 606 that is worth buying. Behringer totally dropped the ball on theirs, this is actually significantly better than I was even hoping for. All I wanted was tuning, decay, panning, and compression. This is far better than that.
Totally agree with you, the Behringer RD-6 is crap, the only good thing really is that they added a clap and the individual outs, and the distortion circuit is OK I guess. The TR-06 is way better, and hugely underrated

Looks great and neat sequencer features but I've got a TR-8s and an original 606 (with a HC-2!) so that niche is filled but glad you've given the 606 some attention. Just can't help imagining how good a 707/727 boutique would be with all the volume sliders (and 505 and 626 bonus sounds!).

Why is there no solo with this unit? The TR-09 had a solo functionality, where you hit the enter button, while in the mute screen, to turn the mutes into solo and vise versa. The TR-06 doesn't do this. I fully expected to enter into the mute screen and then press the write/next button (like the enter button on the TR-09) to enter into a solo mode, but it didn't work. I think this is an oversight. If the TR-09 can have a solo mode, why not the TR-06? The functionality is identical and currently, the Write/Next button is doing nothing, while in the mute screen. Why not make it so this can change to a solo?
Some pretty nifty upgrades, especially to changing the tuning / decay / snappy etc. That was always one of the drawbacks of the original. Most of all, beyond functionality, it sounds cool.

i’m not sure about the tweaking options, they look WAY too complicated to reach and it seems you have to turn the pots for quite a while before anything happens. plus: menus, menus, menus. looking forward to try it myself though.

cymbals need definetly an update (the ability to vary the metallic deeper noise from the higher finer sounding noise) also in terms of a more shorter envelope ... same concerning the env goes for the hihats for more flexibility (imagine the ohh plays shorter than the chh, even a short cymbal) Bd well done, but it even could go deeper in pitch. btw i have the tr-606 and know what its capable of. I would have expected more out of this ACB stuff instead of adding extra delay n overdrive fx, at least me i dont need that kinda gadgets. Its all about the sound guys. Sell extra fx modules for the boutique, i do not care, but squeeze the most out of ACB at least !
Shame it doesn’t sound like a TR-606. Great features though, nice demo. I’ve got an original TR-606 but am a fan of the boutiques (apart from the awful position of the volume pot). I’ll probably get one for a bit of fun. TR-08 still very good as well.
Please make Boutiques for these synths Roland! Alpha Juno (Alpha-JU), Jupiter-4/Promars (JP-04), Jupiter-6 (JP-06) maybe combo it with the Jupiter 8 like the JU-06a did with the two Junos, JX-8P (JX-08), JD-800 (JD-08), JP-8000 (Can't figure out a good name for it). Please make it happen!

You have to believe that ACB is as good as the real thing. It will be until ACB v2 comes out in a few years, at which point that will be even better.

This demo is misleading. There are clearly handclaps on the intro of this, yet the 606 did not have a clap sound....

@@slowbike1 It's a completely irrational obsession with music gear. I'm rather hoping they'll be collectible in years to come although it's hard to know at this point. More money than sense so, yes I'm an idiot!
