ABOUT THE GOOD PLACE
From creator Michael Schur (“Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Parks and Recreation” and “Master of None”) comes a unique comedy about what makes a good person. The show follows Eleanor Shellstrop (Kristen Bell, “House of Lies,” “Veronica Mars”), an ordinary woman who enters the afterlife, and thanks to some kind of error, is sent to the Good Place instead of the Bad Place (which is definitely where she belongs). While hiding in plain sight from Good Place Architect Michael (Ted Danson - “Cheers,” “CSI” - in an Emmy Award-nominated performance), she’s determined to shed her old way of living and earn her spot.

Jose Mendoza She was an angsty teen writer, he’s a stand-up comedian/former MMA fighter who has a super long (2-4 hour) long form conversation podcasts with tons of different people. I personally enjoy it, but for someone like her, from that era, to be forced to listen to a 52 year old stand up talk about politics and hunting and getting high... I definitely think it would be torture for her.

What I don’t understand is how Brent was the “same level of badness” as any of the four originals. Like sure they each had their faults but Brent was legitimately a terrible person 😭
If I remember correctly, I think the Bad Place just chose people they know will irk the soul squad the most. So that gossip columnist for Tahani, Simone for Chidi, then Brent for Eleanor because she hates those types of guys the most.

Jason was a stright up criminal whose go to solution was setting things on fire and he and his father are stated to have pointed laser pointers at pilots to blind them and even blew up boats without checking if anyone was on them or not
Eleanor was over all a terrible person as well being needlessly rude to nice people, was the number 1 saleswomen at a company selling fake medicine to senior citizens and set a male box on fire to force a mailman to undress so she could check him out. And posted people's credit card information online

I guess he was supposed to be a male version of Eleanor, because she was also a truly terrible person on Earth.
