In this small Island, its so sad to know that there were so many so beautiful songs those Clarence has composed but still not known to the loving fans those songs were composed by him yet the song were so famous. Loving melodies, touching music, beautiful lyrics, the entire Package, non other than Clarence. He is a Legend in Sri Lanka. Hiru TV!! Nicely done, valuable. Great tribute to Clarence. Pls stop useless programs like 'Mega Bite' & make many more magnificent programs like 'uththareethara'
What a great person he was and still is in his music - had the fortune of meeting him once in a studio through a musician friend and how humble and down to earth this character was - he used simple language to touch a lot of hearts - he will always be in our hearts the only place great characters always remain ........
Although a genius and a poet to everybody, Clarence did not consider him so. He was so humble, he had given away much of his music. He never failed to tell his admirers that he was influenced by The Beatles, Elvis Presley etc. Most of his songs had been written for the child of a friend, or in gratitude for the good health of a friend etc. I briefly met him in London in the early 80's through a friend and I will cherish that moment forever.
Excellent documentary... memories go back to 90's and 80's. This documentary is an example to all other TV channels. Audience is waiting for value adding programs not crap telegrams. I miss his voice when I was so small.. but he is a living legend..

The situation in sri lankan music industry is so many of them try to be some one in public,not just by pure musicality but try to let the public know this is how much i know about music,i know a lot than anyone else,& their appearance even this guy whos with a guitar with a beard,he is trying to make a profile.what the people want is music,we dont want talking,we want talent.since clarence or rukantha or gypsises,etc,there hasnt been any one who i am inspired by.
