I'm still having trouble making these dark moody looks without introducing noise in the image. More videos on how to do this would be greatly appreciated!
@@emilthilsing I recently started using the monitor+ app with EL- zones, to try to understand stop values better. But from what I understood, the shadows that you want to be completely black in post should still be lit to around 2 to 3 stops under and then I should raise everything with more light?
72 inches tall. From above, the characters look more vulnerable and the women more attractive. Anyway I try to find a camera height point on scene context. :)
Why shoot at 18IRE? That's risky. You could have shot double that or even higher keeping detail in the image and just brought it down in post. Explanation on that one would be good.
@@ANDBERY Ok but even still that waveform in that shot is extremely crushed. You said you shot the whole short around that area in the waveform? Seems like you'd be loosing a lot of unrecoverable detail? Perhaps i'm missing something here.
@@SkellyGamingCreates I shot only night scenes with this exposure, but that doesn’t mean I underexposed the dark areas in the frame. They were brought down in post-production. The point is that the key light metrics remain in the zone I specified. I don’t understand what you’re talking about when you say I’m missing a lot. 18% gray is a very flexible value for post-production.
RESPECTFULLY I SPEAK FOR EVERY SUB TO ANDBERY BRO STFU IF YOU AINT PULLING THIS TYPE OF SHIT OFF ON YOUR PAGE 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 TALKING BOUT SOME 18IRE BRO DESIGN A SET RENT THE COSTUMES PAY THE METHOD ACTORS THEN LIGHT THAT SHIT THEN POST IT UNTIL THEN STFU AND TAKE NOTES 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Excellent breakdown!! Can't wait to see more!
Your work is always so amazing!
Андрей, ты, как всегда, на высоте! 👍
Amazing as usual, thank you
Great content dude!!! As always ❤

amazing video mate.. what is the T-stop here. I might have missed the point
Thanks man. 2.0. I tried to use 2.8 and 4.0 for the long shots
@ thank you . Also I am a student of your set design and lighting course. 🙏😃
Another fan of Se7en 😁 its getting a IMAX release here and a 4k physical release. Happy Thanksgiving Andbery.
Really? The classics are immortal
@ANDBERY Yeah I've never seen it on the big screen. Hope I can experience the same with Titanic.
Amazing look!! The new Masterclass when it's going out? I couldn't buy the previous one 😭😭😭
Hope to finish it in 3 months
Ok, where can I get into this masterclass?
I'll make an announcement in a month :)
Can you say where the filming location/studio was? Your cinematic aesthetic, as always, is beyond excellent!
Thanks! It's a horror role-playing quest (actually a playground).
@@ANDBERY Dude! You did that with a PLAYGROUND! WOW! Now I’m going to have to rethink how I see locations to shoot! I love your work!
Dude ,please upload everyday lesson please

Are you in Russia or in the U.S.? Where did you get the Pipe Light from?
I’m from Russia, the Pipe light from China
@ do you have a distributor? Or a link to where you purchased them from?
Nanlight and DZO directly supply me with equipment for projects, these links are more for you than for me and the local market.
@@ANDBERY I want to buy PipeLight. I’m in the America. Will they ship here?

Same here.
Shoot with a -1 to -2 exposure lut and pull the footage down in post. Blaine Westropp has some great videos on this subject

Yeah just get an arri alexa. This lighting setup is very anti ettr.
also having stronger lights helps a ton too!
Very cool! What is the name of the inflated pipe light? Any link?
Unfortunately I don't know, I think they are all good, the power, and the ability to phone app control is matter.
Pipe Wide 42 total 400w
@@Charles.L. Thanks! More expensive than I expected.
👍👍👍👍
How Tall are you? I see you like to set the camera so you angle down on the subject most of the time in the BTS. I like my DPs short LOL

I meant that 18% light reflectivity in the IRE area I indicated on the waveform. Not 18 IRE

Puts a DZO on an Alexa LF 🤮🤢😷🤡
And what's the problem?
judging by your own work andrei could use a kit lens and put out better looking work than you ever could. no offense.
What the hell are you talking about? 😤
So what?😡
Don't hate, appreciate
