Interesting. I just calibrated my Dell Ultrasharp U2718Q and it went from cooler to warmer.

Mike, great video. I took a portrait class from you quite a while ago in Vancouver, WA. Just found you again. I appreciate your keen knowledge and helpfulness. Question: I am actually using the Colormunki unit and just updated with the i1 software. Should I turn on "automatically adjust brightness" setting in the Display options on my MacBook Pro? Or leave unchecked? Thanks so much and great to "see" you again.

I have watched several RUclips videos on calibrating the printer with xrite studio. I also have the canon pro 100 printer. Nobody mentions the printer settings used for printing the initial color swatch. Do you use the manufactures paper icc profile or do you let the printer driver control the color? I would think use of the paper icc profile would be best as it would require less adjustment in the final stage of the calibration routine?
Your clarification of this matter would be appreciated.

Hi At the end you left the unit monitoring ambient light..
What are the advantages of this?

The unit adjusts your monitor based on changes in your room's ambient light.
