Omg, this is brilliant. The fact that this is so obscure and so overshadowed by the Disney version is a sin. This needs to be remastered and re-released.
É realmente triste que esse filme tenha tão pouco reconhecimento das pessoas 😢
I totally agree with you and I'm sure a lot of other people do also
Eh the Disney version is kinda godlike tho
Love the Disney cartoon but this is more surreal.
Easy tiger😅
I'm speechless. In one word "wonderful".
Having seen Disney or Burtons take, this is so quirky and fun. What a great find, loved the pool of tears and bill down the chimney parts.
Both the animated and Burton live action remake are great. The 1972 version is good too.
Sorry you fools Burton is stupid. (And so are you for thinking it’s great.)
This version deserves more success and recognition in my opinion, it is the closest version to the book and Alice looks great.
I have a feeling that it was the closest to the book but I still think it's long and tedious and the puppets are ugly except for the rabbit I kind of like him haven't seen the Cheshire Cat yet. Maybe I'll hang on a bit longer
Alice looks 40 imo you mean is her costume design maybe ?
@@fourtwentythree Oh yeah her wardrobe is very realistic although she looks like she's in her 20s here
@@fourtwentythree Yeah, she's 23 but looks far older than her age. The fact that they want us to see her as a little girl is creepy -- but not the fun kind of creepy. This whole movie is junk. I didn't even finish it and I feel traumatized. It's the same feeling I got after watching The Human Centipede. I want to erase this garbage from my memory and get my time back!
I'm quite sure my grandmother had this on skipping, broken VHS and I haven't been able to find even the mention of this existing. I cannot Thank you enough for uploading! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
This is amazing, incredible, interesting, and wacked. I love it. There's a couple of cringy musical numbers, but they pale in contrast to the brilliance here. Yes, a modest budget film, but the team remained very cool artists. Never knew about this-- thank you Retro for a great upload.
I love this version. I've seen so many versions of Alice in Wonderland, and I love majority of them (not the biggest fan of Tim Burton's versions). There is a silent film version that is really cool as well, and of course the made for T.V. one from the mid 80s with an amazing cast. I actually still have that one on VHS. My mom recorded it in when she was pregnant with me, and I grew up watching it numerous times a week, and now I watch it with my kids.
The 1933 version also check that out very good
@@wayneramquist2078 cool I definatly didn't know about that one, ill have to look for it.
I love Tim Burton’s version. Don’t care for the sequel all that much but he didn’t direct it so that may explain it. He’s my favorite director.
@@Kevmaster2000 i agree did prefer the first Alice in Wonderland much more than the sequel. I didn't know he didn't direct that one which is a shame because "Through the Looking Glass" is such a cool story where so much could of been done with in one of his films. Honestly all I remember from the sequel were all the clocks, which I think just messed up the whole Tim Burton Alice in Wonderland experience for me at least. I also agree Tim Burton has mad some great films.
Natalie Gregory & Co. 1985. 💗😁👌🎶
This story is a sure reminder of when use our gift of imagination there is no boundary
To where we can go
I know Im pretty off topic but does anybody know a good place to stream new movies online?
@Kevin Forest Try Flixzone. You can find it on google :)
@Augustus Zain yup, I've been using Flixzone for years myself =)
@Augustus Zain Thanks, I signed up and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) Appreciate it!
@Kevin Forest happy to help :)
Noticed the dented brass ferrule on the lens of the box camera. Hardy devices whose versatility and high quality captures are unmatched even today except by modern copies.
This is pretty smooth stop motion for the late 40s
I don't mean to be a pain but this is the dreariest slowest Alice in Wonderland I have ever seen. I thought I would like it because I remember the bun and puppets from when I was a teenager. That'll give you an idea of how old I am, older than the duchess. I'm very disappointed I was looking forward to this but I'm about a quarter of the way through and I don't think I'm going to go any further I'll stop while I'm behind
Thank you so very much ! I will watch with my granddaughters. I have quiet the collection of all "Alice.." The actress that plays Alice here, is exactly how i would have imagined her. A lot like me at that age. like a dream~
Streeeeching the picture
Respect original 4:3 aspect ratio
I remember this like a dream...when I was a young child on channel 11 - had to be 1962 or around that time
There have been so many versions of alice in wonderland its astonishing
About to watch this particular adaptation of my favourite childhood story. I've seen so many adaptations of Alice, it's mad! ♥️♦️♣️♠️
The movie had a Tim Burton like absurdity to the film which was more true to the book
That sounds very ironic given who directed the 2010 one.
It's the best version of Alice in wonderland I've ever seen although I did like the 1933 version quite a bit to it stood out to as very good this one is also very very good I don't agree with the negative comments about it it seems perfect to me stop motion animation it's good so was the rest of it good soundtrack I rate it five stars
I see that I'm in the minority here people just seem to love this film not me of course this reply this comment was 2 years ago so who the hell cares what I have to
Cute, my all time favorite fairy tale since i was a kid is Alice In Wonderland!
This is a grate way to learn History. This is about French revolution. Good film.
Stretching the video from 4:3 to 16:9 is stupid, apart from that great upload!
When the piglet grew up, he went to Hooterville and became a famous Hollywood star.
Yeah your Mom
@@alegendamongmenBaby, i think you miss the necessary pop-culture background to make a comment on here. Hint: Google Eva Gabor
12:45 love the fade from live action to puppet animation.
Wow fabulous....thank you
Nice.
I loved this!!! 🐇🫖♥️🃏
Just excellent!
The most beautiful of all ALICE actresses, she was also on SCROOGE & HORROR OF DRACULA .. I wonder which version came closest to the 2 novels
This is the first version of Alice in Wonderland that put the dog in the story
Cancerbero
Actually, the Giant Puppy was in 1903 and 1910.
No 1903 but the scene was very short
I remember this one, I think I watched it on a vhs tape as kid
People were much wider back then.
And Lewis Carrol saw himself as the Dodo Bird
the baby doesn't cry because he does puts fingers in his mouth
I love it :)
I'm really hoping life like this... it's lovely 🌹
The French people did a good job on the film
The songs were great
I didn't know that grins could come with cats attached.
27:55 - "What is the capital of London?" ... The Empire of the City. 😏
1:03:15 - I see, British 'justice' already worked back then as it does now. (Or maybe the old times are back.)
The 70s british fiona Fullerton version is best especially with cake
This movie also features The Louis Bunin Puppets.
Es perfecta igual o mejor que la animada
Movie length 1:15:06
the silent version is better with live action.
Those are not the original titles they have been lost to time.
انا بحبيك يا اليس
Yeah it's a classic I didn't really like the Walt Disney version very much at all nowhere near as good as Snow White etc yes a real classic the 1949 version although I just heard it was really made in 1950
Eidith Mary Liddell NO ARGUING your first Sister Daughter Alice Pleasance Liddell.

A. B. Normal.
This is wonderful, I ate a 400mg edible🥴
If, like me, you like old movies, you'll want to skip this one. It will ruin old movies for you. XD This movie is garbage around the quality of The Blue Bird. This one is even worse because they're expecting us to believe this 23-year-old woman is a little girl. And the whole movie (even the "reality" parts) are the ultimate creepiness, but not the fun kind of creepy. Avoid traumatizing yourself. Just skip this movie!
Nightmare fuel kill it with fire
i trust god
Very badly "restored". It's NOT the original image ratio. Good for the garbage can.
Do not take LSD and watch this film. Just don't.
it still better than Tim Burton Alice in wounderland
interesting take
but dodson liked to photograph little girls with less clothes on
The video that precedes this movie is inane, one-sided propaganda about the "liberals" leading the US (hey, that spells us, I'm 74 an noticing that for the first time) to civil war.
Creepy. Not a fan.
I'm sorry you feel that way
I though I was the only one to have this impression! LOL. It looks kinda creepy, specially because of the stopmotion animation.
