YES! Nothing gives me that feeling and satisfaction of a live Phish show. I’m addicted really and i think i might have a problem. At least my bank account thinks so.
Those two are like each other’s musical spirit animals. They were just meant to be playing together. Really the whole band but those two especially. Fish just fills off Treys guitar solos so damn well. And this recent tour was so of if not maybe the best playing from fish ive ever heard. He was just other worldly on that Oak Mountain Soul Planet especially.
This song got my Phish blood pumping through my veins. I was aching to hear Phish for a few days, so I jumped in the car for a slow ride, pushed in Story of the Ghost and just chilled out with the world going crazy around me. These guys take you to another place.
Wow this brings me back to the show. The jams were truly fire. Phish cemented themselves as the greatest band playing out right now. I remember the magic and energy, and I was stone cold sober.
I did a few Phish shows sober and it was pretty amazing. a couple I was very high on weed and the weed wore off by the time I got to the lawn. Then the lawn crowd was passing around a pipe and I got high again. 90s into the 00s. Good stuff
After 30 something years, these guys put out a brand new transcendent epic.... it's really amazing. Trey, Fish, Mike, Page: incredible musicianship and groove....
So I'm like, damn Trey! Sick licks brah, then I'm like holy fuck Phishman. Your slaying it bro. and then im like ho-lee-fuk Paige what? And then I realize Mike's been keeping it pushing all the while. Wow. What a band
Yeah I really do have to intentionally focus on one member at a time to fully hear their individual contribution then put the whole picture together from there
you know i have only seen you guys a 165 times that i can rember or at least show tickets for but you gentelmen made me forget about all my worryes so many times in my life i thank you anyways come show europe what the best band can do show what the best of the best can do especially in a country who prides its self on musicicans
Out of all Phish songs, this is my favorite...Every version I hear is amazing and this one does not disappoint...25 years of jamming to these guys 🎸🎹🌵⭕️
Real,ly feel the 2021 rig has taken it to a completely different level with the moving rig. Best lights there is now. I had though the Biscuits had surpassed till the newest rig but now its not even close.
A crazy style all there own!!! The tension trey brings with his guitar to the jam is second to none! I’ve seen trey with phish and many other appearances and he’s best with phish in my opinion carefree confident and the captain of the ship!!!!
I'm 8 Shows deep. 2 Bakers dozen, 3 MSG, 2 SPAC and 1 Hartford. My first show ever was 2014 SPAC and I've been in love ever since. 28 years young....Go while you can folks!
One time they moved me and my old transient delinquent granny from Jericho to St. Albans. Then my granny jumped the border into Canada fleeing from us Marshalls. Nobody knows for sure what ever happened to her, but they say that someone fitting her description, a 4' 7" female white version of Shaquille O'neal was seen holding up a post office in Canada years later.
This was one of the best jams I’ve seen live. Witnessed this from the Chas bridge and it felt like I got adrenaline shot through my veins... side note- please release a pro shot of the no mans land from Allstate arena! Was another great I got to witness
It’s interesting how ‘90’s Phish this was never a song that would lead to extended jamming and improvising. Always a tight set opener or closer and played quick and never varied much from the studio version. First time they were invited to play Letterman in ‘94, Dave requested that they play this song. It really has evolved into one of their best jamming vehicles and now can go anywhere; as seen here.
Steve Spell exactly! My friend who’s favorite band is phish, always had the phish radio station, in my head I was saying turn this fucking station off! Until they played the studio version of Magilla, and damn I was hooked as well! Stash is great too!
I had a sticker to a 87 sabb 500,000 miles on it my best friend toured east coast said can't this wait till I'm old let me live will I'm young went to phish shows 87 to 02

Why are there ads on a jam. Is RUclips doing it without the channels consent? Or is it phish's doing? Idk but who ever is putting ads on this video Is Not cool man.
Greatest band of the 90's. I will not apologize for saying it. I'm sure Rolling Stone magazine wants to hunt me down and destroy me for going against their Kurt Cobain agenda but Nirvana doesn't even make my top five. Phish was consistent through the nineties-- studio albums and live performances-- but all the rock journalists want to ignore them. Why? Because they had the audacity to believe there was still a place in rock n' roll for an amazing keyboardist? Because they never took things too seriously? Maybe it's because they never dared to think of themselves as better than their fans. It's disgusting to think of the business model of Rolling Stone magazine right now: Tell young people who weren't alive in the 90's that Nirvana was the best band of that decade. These young people won't listen to the people who lived through that decade when they say otherwise because hey, young people refuse to listen to their elders. Sorry to rant, everybody.
I cannot imagine my life without: my wife, son, dog and Phish. Hopelessly in love with this band since my first show in 1991.
Completely agree! Sometimes my wife tells me my prioritization of importance favors Phish too much! 😀
YES! Nothing gives me that feeling and satisfaction of a live Phish show. I’m addicted really and i think i might have a problem. At least my bank account thinks so.
same bro, but my first show was 1990! this chalkdust was the first show i took my son to 🤙🏼
@@ddaavvee68 I used to see them very late 80s at clubs in Boston. My friend saw them play at UVM.
There is nothing like getting lost in a Phish jam. The greatest feeling in the world and all time. This smokes. Thanx for posting this.
Smokes boys
truer words have never been spoken
Got a little emotional listening and thinking about this summer.
Trey Anastasio is a legend but I have to say Jon Fishman is an unbelievable drummer. I love listening to him carry the jams.

drum - bass sync is off the chart
whos that?
16:08 is one of the craziest things ever, the way he morphed with the rest of them.

The Mersh So many good things about that statement. Is that a lyric?
@@DavidBrown-sm4kg Only in my head.
First time I’ve listened to this band. Very good musicians, tight and loose at the same time. Really dig the guitar players chops.
That’s a good way to describe it. Keep going down the phish rabbit hole on RUclips, there’s plenty of great jams from all eras of the band to explore.
Look up phish shows from 04/02/98-04/05/98 on RUclips or Spotify
Listen to "Worcester "boogie on reggae woman "
The bass is so funky, with 100 variations.
Go see them live.
Yea that red head guy is decent…. Reminds me of the guitar player from the band fish. He’s a very good player.

are you saying its from where he did the first one? cuz the other is the same length as what yours is
It’s all about the fungus
This is 24 minutes of genius--CK5 included--absolutely belongs on any top 10 Live Phish recording of all time...others?

the whole jam starting from the ten min mark is schaaaweeet. My man making it sing
Great jam. Build up at the end reminded me of A lot of the late 90s Harry Hood endings
Minute 20 till the end is straight fire
my dream is to see you guys with my boys
Just thought right around 22:55 or so they'd start signing 'you can feel good, good...good about Hood'

'Cause I soak on the wrath
That you didn't quite mask
I'm getting it clearly through alternate paths
Or mixed in with the signal you're sending
But who can unlearn all the facts that I've learned
As I sat in their chairs and my synapses burned
And the torture of chalk dust collects on my tongue
Thoughts follow my vision and dance in the sun
