  • This tutorial shows how to make a bold, heavy cuff bracelet from sterling and copper. This is an intermediate level project. For materials, I used number 2 sterling triangle wire (6.55 mm), 26 gauge (.41 mm) sterling sheet, and copper sheet about 14 gauge (1.65 mm). If you see me make a piece of Jewelry you'd like to purchase, contact me through my website. As always, I use hard silver sheet solder and a liquid flux.

    I used to always apologize for a messy house saying, “it’s not usually like this” until I realized it actually was always like that! Needless to say I don’t apologize anymore! 😊

    That would look great with the copper rutilated ring you made. Beautiful work Chad and thanks for sharing. Take care and have fun.

    Really nice piece Chad. You always put down your sawing skills but always do well at your sawing bench. Really enjoyed this one as it was a real “build” sawing and slotting those pieces in and applying the back plate. Thanks for another excellent tutorial!!

    Fabulous! I think that is my favourite piece so far.
    We don’t seem to have anywhere that sells triangle wire in the U.K. so that is a bugger. Maybe could file down some square wire.

      Thanks! I've heard that before. I wonder why that is? Perhaps casting ingots and then using a triangle draw plate?

    Question not related to this project ?u# I’m hoping you can come up with a practical solution: I had pressed a band into an intricate design with very little negative space. Once I got to the part where I’d need to solder the band to form a ring I was stuck at, “how to I make this solder line disappear without disrupting the design?” I ended up scrapping the piece while I look for a solution! Ideas? Thank You!

    • @chadssilversmithing
      @chadssilversmithing  2 месяца назад

      Sometimes with a complicated pattern it is difficult to get an invisible seam where you join a band together. I have use a file or a graver to manually "flow" the pattern together in the past. Does that address your issue Ann? If not, send a pic of what the issue is to my Instagram so I can get a better grasp of what exactly the issue is. Sometimes if I can see it, I can figure out a solution better:)
