I am SO happy for this man and how he is disrupting the fashion/coveted item industry. I pray he’s inspiring a generation of fashion designers think outside the box as well. Especially in terms of affordability and accessibility.

Two weeks ago as I travelled in the airport…..every other woman was carrying this bag! Amazing and congratulations to him……Queens, NYC!!!!!!!!Bravo.
For my first paycheck, I didn't make any impulse purchases. Instead, I picked up a great bag from *condup* that has stayed with me for many years. This is a sign of growth and a triumph of reason.

It is us believing in ourselves ! We spend thousands yearly on Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Prada, Etc and yet we cannot support our own ? We have enriched the fashion industry tremendously and need to start enriching our own African fashion industry to level up !

A lot of hype and marketing and I love what the symbol stands for. Do I love the product? No, because I prefer real leather bags with hardware.
Good for him. He has it figured out and I'm curious if bigger corporations didn't try to squeeze him out. I have never understood why things need to be so expensive. You don't need to charge through the roof.
There are always less expensive options, he has just chosen to not make his product unattainable. People will spend $20,000 on a bag when you can find something similar for under $100. I can't understand why people will pay $1,200 and $1,500 for a cellphone when you can find something with the same features for under $200.

Price is influenced by
1️⃣the materials use to make the product
2️⃣production process (hand stitched vs mass production)
3️⃣workers wages
4️⃣shipping & storage costs (products have to be shipped from wherever they are made to a distribution warehouse or direct to consumers)
If any part of the process is high end top of the line then it’s going to drive up the cost of the final product 🤑

Now this is a designer bag that I would spend my money on. The fact that he had a pop up shop in Brooklyn at a Rainbow really felt like a personal connection to the culture. I wish nothing but success to Telfar.

I wish there was a size between the small and medium because they’re just what I like: simple design and various color choices.
My boyfriend has had this bag for SO long and when he first got it I didn’t know it was actually this cool, maybe it wasn’t so popular yet at that time. (He is Japanese and we are in Japan btw so that shows that he’s HUGE all over the world!!)
Telfar is big globally, i live in stockholm and almost often see the bag around.
I tried to buy one in the UK and it literally all styles are sold out

High fashion is about exclusivity. Hermès would NEVER do this because they don’t want their products in the hands of “commoners”. This guy wants everyone to buy his stuff. He’s smart enough to accept EVERYONE’s money.

I’ve seen these bags before and thought it was simple and not that interesting. No it's capitalism telling you buy this for now because this is affordable luxury and then you have a bunch of sheep people buying it because they're being told it's a designer luxury affordable brand well as I told somebody else if it's affordable it's not designer or luxury and there isn't anything special or unique about his designs other than his story which if you dive deep there are numerous designers out there struggling who have very similar stories, my opinion... it shows how many people are followers

I kept seeing these bags and the buzz but this was the first I have ever learned about this designer and his background. I JUST ADORE WHAT HE IS ABOUT! I AM BUYING A BAG ON PRINCIPLE!
Exactly I bought 1 just off principle and support. I have designer bags I've spent 10x more for but I felt good buying a Telfar.

The Massachusetts Bay Transit Authority (MBTA) which goes by the T for short has a logo of a T inside a circle. The logo has been around for decades. When I first saw the Telfar bags, I wondering why anyone would want MBTA bags. 😂

I'm absolutely happy for this man. I first saw an add on ig and thought to myself, 🤔 not sure I liked the bag due to the fact of it looking like our T logo on our transportation system in Boston MA. We call our bus and train line, the T. I didn't wanna carry the bag. I will say, I'm supporting. I love this story and I absolutely love this man's color. I support. I'm coming to ny in October.
