Exactly, that's why, until pakfauj goes back to the barracks, there's never going to be peace in the region. IPOJK (Kashmir) is pakfauj's cash cow. Some peaceniks (though I'm one of them too) don't understand this. They keep on saying that the govts. of both countries should take steps but in Pakstan's case, it's not the govt., it's the army that needs to take the correct steps, which it'll never do...

We criticize the Pak army for its land acquisitions but whole heartedly accept the facilities given to our IAS officers
Difference is the land given to the Pakistani army is permanent while facilities alloted to IAS are temporary. They don't own them unlike the former. If you have issues with the privelege given to a particular section then z raise ur voice against politicians who have more privelege than they need. Start with them.

This whole land grant thing makes sense now. It's like Julius Ceaser giving lands in Gaul to his victorious legions. But in Pakistan's case it's just lands grabbed from some poor farmers. Best thing is you can then make the farmers son go fight jihad in Kashmir for a few thousand bucks. What a sadistic win win situation.

Every country has an army. But in Pakistan, the army has a country
There is a law in the Armed forces which punishes officer's courting the wife of another officer. Even though one can argue that such a relationship between consenting adults should not be of anyone's concern, this video clearly explains the necessity for such rules in a disciplined and professional force. BTW the offence is called ''Stealing the affection of brother officer's wife."
A positive side of this is that the Pakistani army may still be amenable to economic gain driven improvement in relations unlike the more fundamentalist types

Indian media on TV channels have greatly degenerated. While some may say that NDTV is good but it has gone so far left to see its own faults and hypocracies. This online media channel, The Print, however, is an exceptionally good source of news. It is not right or left but firmly in the centre.
Yes. I do not mean that everything they do is Okay. Especially their unwatranted and unjust support of the corrupt N-League. But some of their work, especially raising voice for Baloch rights and honest Pak army criticism is what I support because local media do not cover it at all. At the same time, I also do condemn their silence on Modi's policies.

Shekhar has a habit of exhibiting that he knows a lot.... It's true that he knows a lot.... But it's too much when he is talking abt a subject and suddenly a military aircraft over his garden and he lectures on c17 aircraft completely digressing!
