Thanks for the detailed advice and experiences. My surgery is this Friday and there is a little.bit of anxiety, but its been refreshing listening to all of your experiences and do’s/don'ts. Much appreciated! 😅

OMG I am so glad I found your channel. I broke my left arm and then the overcompensation I did with my right arm (where the rotator cuff was already iffy) helped me develop major RT issues on THAT arm -- meaning, the right arm. I am in a lot of pain and gearing up to go BACK to my ortho. I'm grateful to be able to see your journey and learn from your experience.

Hi Lisa. One week post surgery for me today yay 😎. 5 weeks to go with brace and sling. They took the stitches out and gave me exercises, 2 different ones, to do at home, for 2 weeks. Then another set of two to be added in 2 weeks. I enjoy your voice and your journey. Hope you continue to heal and be back to both limbs soon. I just turned 60 in August and so miss my gardening, mowing etc. My husband is doing his best to fill in, it's just so painful that it isn't exactly how I would do it 😍 lol.

I had rotor cuff surgery 2 years ago. As long as you go through PT you’re good!

Wow, what great timing! I'm at 6-weeks post-surgical for my rotator cuff on my right side and had almost the same surgery as you did! I'm also a Lefty 😊 I found your channel when looking for makeup tips and, after watching a couple of your videos, realized that we have a lot in common. I'm experiencing the same pain in my elbow and am going to order a compression sleeve for it today. Hopefully your recovery is still going well, it's somehow uplifting to know that I am not alone 😊. Have a good day and thank you for this video!

Hey neighbor! Well, not really as I'm on the eastern side of TN. Anyway, I'm five years into my journey and even now, I still feel weirdness around the cuff every so often. I've also noticed that my surgery arm is actually stronger in some ways than my dominant side (I'm left-handed too), so I asked my PT and he said it was probably because I spent so much time working to regain strength in that side during therapy. He told me it was normal and I have since started focusing more on balancing out the difference. All this to say life goes on and five years from now, you'll probably forget you had it done! Glad you're healing up.

Oh, gosh, Lisa... I've been watching your surgery updates. I will say shoulder surgery was my WORST! I had a torn and detached labrum, bone spurs and dislocation. I will say, I could not have recovered as quickly as I did, without the Polar Care(PC), too. I'm so glad you brought the PC into your videos, because it is indeed, one of the BEST tools to use in joint surgery recovery, in my opinion. I feel for you, Lisa. 🙏🙏🙏 Prayers you get better soon. Keep up with the PT. God bless. KIMBER(Your Austin, Texas Sister)🥰😉

Thank you for the lovely video! I'm just recovering from a hysterectomy, and your video some time back about that was so helpful to me. It means a lot to hear someone's personal experience with things like this. Many hugs, Sandra ☘️

Thanks for letting us know how you are doing since your surgery. I fell playing pickle ball and broke 3 fingers so I retired from that sport. Sticking with swimming. You look amazing!

@@LisaMonique Thank you. They're very similar to yours. I just learned the 1 laying on your injured side & stretching the arm forward. One is standing inches from the wall & resting both forearms against the wall & sliding up to stretch then sliding down. I put a towel behind me & w/ my injured arm below & good arm on top, pulling my injured arm up to increase range of motion (so it'll be easier to hook my bra). It hurts during but after it feels so good & move more freely

I appreciate you making this video. I am 2 months post op full rotator repair in my dominant arm. Last week I noticed my elbow hurt and saw it is trying to swell. So I am icing and limiting certain movements and I plan to talk to my PT therapist Monday and then will call the doctor's office from there. I to am spot on with recovering. Stay patient and you will fully recover.

Yeah it took about five weeks for it to finally go away but I went into my doctor and talked to my physical therapist and both said you just have to wait for the fluid to go away 😞. Which eventually does… I stopped leaning on my elbow at the table though 😉
