Saudi Arabia cancels 3-Years ban on Expats who failed to return on Re-Entry visa
The General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) in Saudi Arabia told all its departments of land, sea, and air ports to let expatriates return to the Kingdom who failed to arrive back on exit re-entry visa before the expiry date of their visa.
Expat workers who left the Kingdom on an exit and re-entry visa and did not come back before their visa expiry date were no longer banned for three years from the Jawazat. On Tuesday, January 16, the new rule went into effect, according to the Okaz report.
According to the Saudi Jawazat, Expats whose Exit Re-Entry visas has expired can now re-enter into Saudi Arabia at any time on new visas. The new visa can be from his old employer or can be from any new employer.

I too came for vacation but want to go back on a new visa already 2 months over.My company has not paid any leave benefit and leave salary as per the quiwa contract.
I went on vacation last July 2023. and I'm not come back to my old employer . because we have family problem in the Philippines and I was in the Philippines for 9 months. And I applied for a new employer and a new visa. Now I am here with my new employer on April 19, 2024. My question is why my old employer boss used to chase me. does he still have the right to me?? Or something we have problem?

yes it's a very good news for me, because Employers make emergency exit because they don't like entering KSA with New visas. but this is a good solution for using that technique to make employees getting banned and using that method in wrong way. 👏. sometimes they are using this method to avoid paying end of service.

After iqama expiry you can return with new Visa

If thats news is true...then why is it the "absent from work" appears in your iqama status? Even more than 3years...this is vague
the status will be same even after 10 years. once you enter again in KSA on work visa, then this status will be updated automatically
