i feel like squidward was a good pick for the song. especially with the line 'Been thinking of running away from things that I don't wanna lose' reminds me of certain episodes of spongebob where something happens to him and squidward realizes how much he actually cares for him but always makes sure to keep spongebob at arms length no matter what and always goes back to being squidward

Oh my goodness, I have NEVER felt lyrics that aligned so perfectly with how I felt. The idea of having sheltered parents, living a life where I gaslit myself into thinking being lonely was “good” and “better” for me, and now here I am with pretty much no friends as an adult, and a severe lack of social skills. And with my one best friend, I felt like I bought her friendship, or forced myself onto her when we were younger, and now it’s by suppressing all of my hobbies and interests around her (since we don’t have a lot of common interests) that I have managed to somehow keep that friendship hanging by a thread. Most of my depression is a result of loneliness as of now, but I like to live under the facade that it’s ok because I have social anxiety, and if just be better off not talking to anyone.
I’m so excited the new EP tomorrow! I love your music so much, it has helped me a lot and I honestly don’t know what I would do without it. I love you Robbie ❤
