That was awesome more of that please. I can understand one more note. I think people forget how hard it is to learn stuff. I need it simple simple simple. Thank you
I'm getting sooooo much gold from these. Please keep it up. I'm at the phase where the typical "this finger, this fret, this string" stuff kills me. But not entirely getting to the next level... these videos are helping because i can slow them down and see the blend of min pent, maj pent, and scales.
A fab video, as per usual - and a nice outing for that gorgeous PRS. I've had to start a new RUclips Playlist of all your Jams and Noodles - they're the best inspiration. If I end up picking up even a fraction of what you do it will still be the best guidance I could wish for. Thanks Pete :-) (PS I loved the Tattoos)
I think you're about to get a lot of people adding that playlist out of their own laziness. (Myself, clearly, included.) EDIT: But it's not public????? You cruel, cruel person.
Thanks for showing it in more than just the first position. I think the reason I and many other people got stuck in the p1 box is that all these lessons focus on the first shape and there's little opportunity to work on things outside unless you learn the whole shape and then work it out from there. But putting these 'new ideas' on different parts of the neck gets you thinking about it from the get go. Learning the instinctive note-shape map for the other pentatonic shapes is slow and it's easy to not care about it when you already know the first one or two.
Hi Pete. You have beautiful chord progressions. They sound always so nice. Would be lovely if you could share them like you did with these scales. Thank you.
Look up lessons on Peter Green. IMO, the most melodic player of all time. He played the guitar in a very vocal way. Dave Simpson has a whole series on this and there's a couple videos that focus on the playing and economy of style (which is key). Cheers, dude PS- coincidentally, it's his birthday today...
A humble request: I've been attempting to transcribe the jam you did in the Joe Bonamassa Epiphone video for Anderton's. If ever get the chance to talk through what you played in that video, it would be incredibly appreciated. I've never heard such a soulful and dynamic solo off the cuff.
I know this isn’t that difficult of a concept, but sometimes you just need to see or hear a different explanation and this clicked, especially after a video Chapman posted recently. Thank you
You have to tell us what guitar you're using for this video. Tried Zooming in, that definitely doesn't say McCarty 594 or Custom Se, it sort of looks like Custom 24 but I'm stumped, can't get a clear pic of the headstock.Oh and its got Paul's birds. Weird just a strange truss cover replacement?
magic stuff ..but .... i would need a dot to dot path to follow lol... it looks so easy but its not ..its like climbing a hi fence and peeping over the top... one day lol ..great stuff.
You can’t play ‘Sunshine of your love’ without the ‘blue’ note. For all you young guys, this was Cream (Clapton) from the sixties, but it’s a good way of discovering how useful the blue note is, and how it fits in to a riff. Try it.
Having that neck pickup in my guitar would help out the most Pete 😉 Lol Did you get a chance to hear the new 594 pickups? Peirce just did a vid comparing a 59 Burst to the new PRS offering and oh do they sound sweet. I got the impression from Tim that they hadn't hit the stores yet but maybe you've already played them. Thanks for the video, always informative and inspiring.
Hey Pete, where can we find those backing tracks you made recently? I think you and Lee were playing with them on a video and Lee mentioned they were available at the end of the video. I forget the video though.... Otherwise I'd post it on there.
The pentatonic isn't really much of a scale. It is more a physical framework to hang things from. It even looks like a coat hanger. I think most people play the flat5 when they bend the G string, but maybe not on purpose. Fretting it and playing it like you mean it makes you sound like you know what you are doing.
Would absolutely pay for a Danish Pete Masterclass on theory.
i guess Im kinda randomly asking but do anybody know a good place to stream new series online ?
@Louis Omar i watch on Flixzone. Just google for it =)
@Santino Alessandro Definitely, I've been watching on Flixzone for since april myself =)
@Santino Alessandro thank you, I went there and it seems like they got a lot of movies there :) I really appreciate it !
@Louis Omar Glad I could help :D
Finally playing Paul’s guitar. I’m a Tele man too but I guess you gotta give props to a guy that gave you his guitar. God bless!
Love these 10 min lessons! Just the right amount of info to practice for a day or two.....
You’re a great guitarist and teacher. Thanks for posting this.
Excellently done...thank you kindly
That was awesome more of that please. I can understand one more note. I think people forget how hard it is to learn stuff. I need it simple simple simple. Thank you
Keep on giving us all the basic tricks we should add to this Penta scale ! That would be gorgeous ....You are a Master !!!!!
Thanks pete! Great as always!!
Thanks for the tips and the riffs.
Awesome. Thanks Pete.
Excellent. Thank you.

So much useful ! Thanks a lot Pete...Cheers from France ! Hope one day to come to Anderton and meet all the guys...pedal show too 👍
Thanx cu Piet.
Always Good Info 👍👍🎶🎶🎸
very great vid, such a simple tip to give your improv more soul
Man that guitar sounds sick♥️❤️🥀🌹
Right on, Pete! Like Thoraeu said: "Simplify, simplify".
Cheers, mate
just what we all needed, thanks pete!

So simple, but so effective! Thanks for sharing this cool secret.
i love this guitar so much 😩
So THAT’S where you guys moved the John Mayer shrine. Lol. I kinda miss seeing it in the Anderson’s videos

This PRS have so beautiful flame. I'm hypnotise
Back to the basics, nice! Do you think you could do a video on how to practice phrasing and playing melodically? Thanks Pete!
When I try to play melodically I think of the guitar as a voice of a singer. Instead of words your using notes on the guitar.
Look up lessons on Peter Green. IMO, the most melodic player of all time. He played the guitar in a very vocal way. Dave Simpson has a whole series on this and there's a couple videos that focus on the playing and economy of style (which is key).

PS- coincidentally, it's his birthday today...
@Christopher I'm guessing lots of People... But, like I said, Dave Simpson has the best ones, IMO.
Cheers
your phrasing is beautiful !!
Seeing as you have those tasty Hansen S style guitars in, could you do a video with them! Would love to hear what they sound like!!
Du er gudsbenådet guitar spiller det der ville jeg aldrig kunne finde ud af
Sweet, Pete
WOW, now you got your own shirt. Big Time Pete
I think Dimebag called those micro bends “hick bends” lol

Never noticed that tattoo on Pete's arm before now.

Who the hell that one guy dislike this vid? 🤣🤣🤣
The other day I tuned into a live stream 30 minutes before it started and somebody had given it a thumbs down. Haters gonna hate.

Blue Betty It’s a “Paul’s Guitar” model. This one was actually Paul Reed Smith’s personal guitar that he gave Pete. Killer guitar!

Is that a Harley Benton Custom 24? Try one Pete. Captain and Chappers don't like em🌴🎯
Yeah man 😎

Thank you for your message. There’s a link in the description for the tracks. Best. P
Hair's starting to look pretty Mayery ;)
Yep you would be the right person for teaching guitar lessons , great playing . 👍 Thanks TroyFrost / Troyster 😎 CoolRiffs 😎 Cool🎸 🤘🤘 🤘
Listen to Terry Kath of Chicago (Transit Authority) playing on South California Purple. You're welcome.
How far away are you from London? Would like to buy some signed gear from you
Sun Task you just google London to guilford and it’s about 40 minutes to 1 hr by car, 33 minutes by train.
Could u do a video of "beginning of shred" or breaking out of the pentatonic
sad ... happy .. sad ... happy :)
With that 3 octave run down you’re sounding a bit like Paul Gilbert!
What's cheeky, Precious?
good video but it all went over my head
I just came here for the sick tattoos 🤣
Who has tattooed toes?
Can you do a video playing with your feet?

What about the super locrian? (Guitar Breaks in joke)
I’ll leave that one to you :)
@@danishpete I know it- doesn't mean I can do anything with it! Loving the videos dude.
More Purple Tele
Could you squeeze a few more amps in that corner Pete? Jeez.... there'll be no room for you soon 😂
:-)
Haha!
Dont use a PRS for Blues.
What is it supposed to be used for?
@@nate716 love songs for your mom
Don't use a PRS....period.
Pete can play whatever he wants. Any guitar works for blues in the right hands.
@@ajlsrv5490 Pete can only play Tele's. PRS.....Nope.
