I believe in what they're doing with contraception for these creatures of the wild these monkeys because the population becomes so horribly massive these poor animals suffer and I feel for them so I'm glad there are humans on this Earth that are taking this into consideration and taking care of it
I just asked why cant they do it this in places like Cambodia where they do sterilize, but they dont pick out females that have had a baby. They just catch whichever goes in cage. Even if they never has a babt.
It is VERY important for mothers to have babies. If they don't come in to season and bear no young they get the lowest ranking in the hierarchy and their life simply sucks big donkey balls. THey are basically beaten and starved to death. They can try and run, but life for a solitary female macaque would be short and terrifying until most likely ended by predation or automobiles.

Why were males not included in the program? Theyvare much easier to perform the surgery on.
Don't need to sterilize all the males that once happened on their back getting them pregnant
Sterilize the oldest males and problematic males makes more sense. Just keep a few good breeders
And the ones that can have babies will have to guard their young with their lives
Males would be better to do congratulation to the gov for making this program possible for the survival of these monkeys
