    If you don't have a Visa, can you write on your CV that you don't have a visa and you require sponsorship?

    • @QuirkyLivingSim
      @QuirkyLivingSim  3 года назад

      I would suggest focusing on applying for jobs that will offer sponsorships and then you can mention on your CV that you require a work visa. A good place to start, is to look at the occupation shortage list as these are jobs that they need resources for in the UK. Here's the list: www.gov.uk/guidance/immigration-rules/immigration-rules-appendix-shortage-occupation-list 😊

    • @QuirkyLivingSim
      @QuirkyLivingSim  3 года назад +3

      Congratulations to your niece, that's great! My husband is also an engineer so I know that there are a lot of opportunities over here in that field! He mostly used CV Library to find job opportunities. I think a good place to start is to use the well-known job websites I mentioned because the ads will have to comply to certain policies so should be less of a risk. You can also Google the company or the recruitment agency that's mentioned in the ad and if nothing comes up I would definitely be suspicious. Also, if they ask you to pay any money, I would also not trust it at all.

    • @QuirkyLivingSim
      @QuirkyLivingSim  2 года назад +1

      I would recommend looking for graduate programs in the UK that are open to foreigners. Even if the program is just for a few months/a year, it could still be an opportunity to find a more permanent job while you are here. With that type of degree you could potentially get a skilled worker visa, it's just finding the right company that can sponsor you.

      Hey Klaas, there are a lot of things that have an impact on this - the type of degree, which institution the qualification is from etc. My bachelors degree from the University of Pretoria is recognized in the UK, but for something like Accounting you might have to complete an additional exam so that you are qualified in the UK as well. I know this is the case for lawyers but not 100% sure about accountants. For my visa, I also had to submit my degree to UK Naric to get a certificate that states that my degree is valid in the UK as well. This is the website if you want to have a look: www.ecctis.com/

    • @JS-cz7vz
      @JS-cz7vz 2 года назад

      Get an Ecctis comparison done. It used to be called Uk Naric. It gives you the level your degree etc is on in the UK

    • @nishi8122
      @nishi8122 2 года назад

      Depends if your qualified or not. Recently qualified as a CA, and they recognise you as qualified equivalent . If you get an offer with a big firm, you’ll be sponsored as well. Due to skill shortages
