I’m still in the apprenticeship with my local JATC, so my goal is to get as many working hours as is required through the JATC. But after I graduate, my goal is stay focused the mind frame of working to live. This is in part of my religious activities. So as long as I make enough to live off I’m fine with either a five 8 hour schedule or a four 10 hour schedule.
But, biggest advice is live in your means and stay out of debt.

I have a pretty good work-life balance. I work for a private company, current working hours are 7 am to 3 pm Mon through Friday.
The only thing I struggle with is being completely exhausted afterwork cause I’m a construction electrician.

Hey there I had a question on last video that had to do with fear in the job field
How do you handle competition with others in professionalism.

I took all the OT for record competitive hours and was it worth it? Not really. All work not enough freedom. When you are in apprenticeship you can't choose but you can quit at least that's what they told me.

Ask for a rotation and say it's for the sake of your education so no one gets offended.

@@alecthenice8115 Yeah I must of pissed off someone important is what they said by the end of it. Someone doesn't like you. My job was to make everyone else's day easier why would someone not like me for that eh? My quality work made some slacker look bad? Tough shit. They wanted us to replace those guys anyway. You want me to deal with it? They can deal with how I deal with it. Dam time swindling looney toons. I hope your apprenticeship operates under better standards. Every day I go for a walk my back pain from lifting conduit reminds me I better not piss off someone important oh boo hoo. Toughen up like I have to. Don't offend anyone. What world is this?
The worst advice I got in there was 'No one told me so why should I tell you?' I guess they wanted to make an example out of me. I got to stop my back pain just ruining my recovery spirit today. Don't want to be like the miserable grumps I had to deal with. Hazing rites of passage whatever. How do you live with it though?
Did they ever hate social media during my time in there. I agreed not to be on social media during my time. Years later now and I survived some of those jobs that others didn't. This job has extreme risks. Know what your doing or you will get someone hurt or killed. Wish I could of walked away without injury but again I must of pissed off someone important maybe they had too much of a roid cocktails that morning. Whatever. I was a fighter before I took on construction.
I was insulted seven different ways continuously during my apprenticeship. For not having a father, for not being genetically pure enough, for having family members that weren't correctly politically aligned. And I have to be careful not to offend someone else while the shit storm rolls down hill? Whatever. I'd rather go down saying I am Spartacus than kneeling to some tyrant. All I wanted to do was go to work, contribute to the community I love to see prosper and buy a home but instead I have the experience, a sore back, and a broken scholarship mug.
