I just played this List in VTT, with the Feel no Pain 5+ & Regen the Termagonds, my opponent just couldn't kill them fast enough.
I usually play Blood Angels, so this "lay back, just fokus on keeping your stuff alive and on the missions" felt... strange but good :)
And yeah, after my Casino Cannons killed both Tanks he had left the game was over in Round 3.
Really fun and a good list, I will link this to People who want to start with Nids :)

I am enjoying these videos! You have a great way of explaining the core of an army, the basic detachment for that and what would get someone a great feel for how they play. Also like you said here then other detachments can specialize on how any one facation can play.

Solid video, one small thing about bringing back endless swarm units (and bringing back models in general), its not that they need to be within 2" of an existing model. They need to be brought back within coherency of the existing unit, so they ALL need to be brough back within 2" of 2 models in this example

I was having fun with Crusher til Marines got the +1 to wound buff on Oaths. Really screwed a lot of my big monster builds. I honestly think the strongest way to play them (at least in the Denver meta) is MSU Warrior spam in the Warrior detachment, with a solid gunline behind it. Very cheap, lots of synapse, and solid shooting. Unfortunately, it's fairly boring to play, but it scores and denies INCREDIBLY well. But my buddy Matt did incredibly well with Assimilation Swarm at LVO too, and I think a lot of people are building that way as well.

I have a problem. I tried to start custodes, but the models are too small for me to paint. so I am trying to find an army that has larger models, I was thinking maybe crusher stampede? other suggestions?

      Knights 😮

Explain what makes Custodes "too small"?
Because there are methods for painting them to a tabletop standard quickly and without lots of precise brush control. Priming or overbrushing with metallics, then dry-brushing a different metallic color (like silver over gold, or silver over gun-metal). Spread a wash, or some kind of transparent paint (Contrast, SpeedPaint, etc), over the metallics to bring out recesses or tint the metals. Sponge other non-metallic shades over plumes or capes, as needed.

@ I am unable to see the detail on the models. while i could just paint them gold and wash them, that just isn't satisfying, nor do I think it looks too good. While I know I need to make some concessions. painting eyes for example, I would like to try painting some larger models that don't have as much detail.

In terms of other armies, consider vehicle-heavy Imperial Guard. Prime it one color, sponge on one or two other colors to create a camouflage pattern. Dry-brush a lighter tone, to bring out the edges and raised areas.
With Leman Russ or Rogal Dorn Tank Commanders, even your Warlord is sorted (though you'll want a few more, for the sake of giving out Orders). Sprinkle in whatever combination of Russ, Dorn, Chimera, Sentinel, or even Baneblade chassis units. (Remember to keep weapon options unglued, for the sake of flexibility; many such models have weapon options slot in and out with friction, and you can magnetize those that don't).

@@Bluecho4 My other comment doesn't seem to have tagged you. But I also wanted to explain a little better if I can. I wanted to paint them solar watch. all gold is not very appealing to me. I thought something like tanks, or large bugs, knights who have large panels and areas with more than just metallics or something would be more exciting to paint, to play on the battlefield and so on. I do have to make some concessions like eyes, I just can't see the small details on these things. But I thought that larger models might be ok. I did paint some great deamons a year ago and it was okish. Or at least I was happy with the painting I could do. The custodes just didn't look good.. unless I want to just dry brush it and wash it, etc. the basics.

Pariah Nexus says no more than 50% of your Army can start in Reserves,
    which one counts ?

    • @TacticalTortoise
      @TacticalTortoise  6 дней назад

The 50% cap also includes all regular reserves like Deep Strike etc.
Strategic Reserves are included in that total, but can't be more than 25% of the army.

My friend I play who is a major Tyranid player likes to bring his Tyrannofex's and I've jokingly made it a thing about how much I hate it ever since it's one shotted my Soul Grinder and my Bloodthirsters in past games.

Yeah they're crazy when the dice are hot
super inconsistent but hard enough to kill that they typically get 2-3 shots off which makes up for it
