Happy Monday, June 24th everyone! I hope everyone is having a fantastic start to the week. There is a LOT of uncertainty in the short-range forecast for parts of the Midwest/Great Lakes with respects to the location, coverage, and magnitude of severe weather. Below are a couple of scenarios that could unfold later tonight into Tuesday... Scenario #1: Isolated to scattered coverage of thunderstorms develop across Minnesota early this evening, and then grow upscale into a squall line and move east into Wisconsin and towards Lake Michigan late this evening into early Tuesday morning. Damaging winds in excess of 75 mph, large hail of 1-2" or greater in diameter, and a few tornadoes will be possible in this scenario. Scenario #2: Isolated to scattered coverage of thunderstorms develop across Minnesota early this evening, and then grow upscale into a powerful squall line and dive south/southeast into Wisconsin and eventually Northern Illinois late this evening into early Tuesday morning. Damaging winds in excess of 75 mph, large hail of 1-2" or greater in diameter, and a few tornadoes will be possible in this scenario. Additionally, these types of weather events COULD be classified as a "derecho" if the powerful squall line persists for over 2,000 miles with widespread damaging winds. In rare instances, these can produce winds over 100 mph. Needless to say, make sure to have multiple ways to receive severe weather watches and warnings through Tuesday!
We are in Northwest Washington and we our weather is fairly normal for this time of the year Our Nation needs alot of Prayers to get through this severe weather for most of the USA 🇺🇸🙏
Hunter was 46 this AM in C Oregon 👍 We are slowly warming up for summer. It can cool off in August especially at night! Hope my garden has enough growing time before first frost! We are dry & clear skies!
The rapidan dam in Minnesota just failed and the river is supposed to rise at least 2 feet . People in my town has been using sandbags to try and prevent the river from flooding over 🫤
@maidenminnesota1 I know my response is late, and you probably already know, but it did fail. The river has been getting unbelievably high in the last few days.
Read your analysis, Hunter. Your analysis adds more to your met. report.I finally got time to read the postings (all of them) Have a good afternoon 😊.Greg.
Hello Hunter and It’s finally cooling down ! Thanks for the video and showing everything I need to know😃.Also I hope your safe because of the severe weather
Milwaukee, Wisconsin has been upgraded to a Level 3/5 (Enhanced Risk) for severe weather late tonight through early Tuesday morning. Isolated thunderstorms in Minnesota will grow upscale into a squall line as it approaches Milwaukee, Wisconsin between midnight and 6am Tuesday. Widespread damaging winds over 75 mph, large hail of 1-2" inches in diameter or larger, and a few tornadoes will be likely.
I know that all this above average rainfall if it were all to happen at the right time like during the afternoon with increase cloud cover during the whole day then after we have clear sky at night then we would have more below seasonal temperatures favoured rather than above average temperatures even though we’re getting warmer wind from the south.
I think your forecasts are great. I like listening to them. I live in Atlanta and have noticed that the SE is barely covered in your reports. We have weather too and sometimes it is violent. i wish you could spend more time down south.
I understand your concern about not covering Atlanta area much. It’s only because there’s nothing happening there besides excessive heat and humidity. A few thunderstorms will be possible over the next week or two but generally there’s nothing happening. I will always cover high-impact weather, especially given the potential for significant damaging winds possible later tonight across the Midwest.
If your in danger, he will cover your area. I'm SE MO, no one covers my area, unless we are experiencing dangerous tornadoes. You should be very happy, my friend❤
The northern Chicago suburbs are most at risk for potentially significant severe thunderstorms after midnight through around 6am Tuesday morning. Widespread damaging winds potentially over 75 mph will be possible, along with the potential for large hail of 1-2" inches in diameter or larger, and a few tornadoes possible. Another round of potentially significant severe thunderstorms may develop Tuesday afternoon/evening for especially the southern Chicago suburbs. This round could also be capable of producing widespread damaging winds over 75 mph, large hail, and a few tornadoes. I'll continue to keep you updated!
The main area of severe weather potential is from Minnesota, into parts of Wisconsin and into Northern Illinois late tonight into early Tuesday morning.
Just to keep this in mind to know you gotta hope that all your average rainfall and cloud cover happens during the day and the night time on the other hand, is having clear skies so the temperature can stay much cooler even though it’s a hotter push of air from the south.
Yes, thunderstorms are mainly forecast to become severe from Minnesota, into parts of Central/Southern Wisconsin and Northern Illinois late tonight into early Tuesday morning. I suppose a severe thunderstorm or two may occur in Western Lower Michigan but that’s about it. Damaging winds will be the primary hazard from any storm that can become severe. Large hail and tornado risk is much lower.
Hey Hunter! Sorry I wasn’t able to attend your video earlier. I was busy. I have a question, could there be severe weather on Wednesday in my usual area of northeast Ohio?
Severe weather is possible, but overall thunderstorms should be on a significant weakening trend by the time they move into Southern Lower Michigan Tuesday morning.
It just depends on how thunderstorms develop tonight across the Upper Midwest and where they track as they move across parts of the Midwest. Current expectations are for isolated to scattered severe thunderstorms possible for Fort Wayne, Indiana Tuesday afternoon/evening, along with the potential for flash flooding rains.
Do you know how pleasanton ks will be in the next few weeks? Summer is going really fast, and I'm hoping the weather keeps it fair bc I'm ready for fall and chilly days
Fairly hot and humid most days with a few chances of showers and thunderstorms in the mix. Severe weather potential is unknown but I imagine a severe weather event or two, probably with mainly damaging wind potential could be possible between now and the middle of July.
@WeatherOnTheGoForecasts do you think, it will be as bad as it was last year? I'm just happy that summer is almost over. It's gone by really fast. My kids only have a month in a half until school. They are already putting out school stuff lol

Am I going to to have to worry about tornadoes tomorrow
I worry more about derechos more than tornadoes. My biggest fear after watching documentaries of the one that happened in Iowa a couple years ago.
Thank you, Hunter! Stay safe everyone. ❤

Texas is still preheating 🥲
Should I be concerned about anything overnight around the Milwaukee area? I'm not sure how I should be preparing rn

Sprinkled for 5 minutes today. Haven't had any rain here in middle Georgia in 5 weeks.
The ridge of high pressure keeps Georgia mostly dry and very hot/humid through the end of June.

I have my doubts also based on the models for SE Michigan Tuesday morning. I think just a few passing showers will come through. I hope I'm right.
The main area of severe weather potential is from Minnesota, into parts of Wisconsin and into Northern Illinois late tonight into early Tuesday morning.
Hi from Ann Arbor ! 💛💙
Hello! Thank you for watching.
The last thing we need is more rain here in MN, as we have a dam on the brink of failure about to cause evacuations.
Welp I’m not getting sleep tonight…
Just to keep this in mind to know you gotta hope that all your average rainfall and cloud cover happens during the day and the night time on the other hand, is having clear skies so the temperature can stay much cooler even though it’s a hotter push of air from the south.
Peace be with you !
Alpena Michigan gonna be safe from severe weather

Hey Hunter! Sorry I wasn’t able to attend your video earlier. I was busy. I have a question, could there be severe weather on Wednesday in my usual area of northeast Ohio?
Isolated severe thunderstorms are possible. Greater severe coverage and intensity further southeast on Wednesday.
Is Brooklyn park near the river in engaced risk?
Do southeast Michigan and Toledo have to worry about anything tomorrow morning?
Severe weather is possible, but overall thunderstorms should be on a significant weakening trend by the time they move into Southern Lower Michigan Tuesday morning.
Looking at the models there will likely be a derecho overnight tonight because models continue to show a bowling ball line of thunderstorms ⛈️
Hunter Fort Wayne Tuesday your thoughts
