You may need to refresh your data source connection in the new power app form.
If still the old one, then delete and re-add a new SP List as a data source

In this case, the exported package will always have old connection. It could be more better if this was also a part of the video. As soon as we replace the datasource, all the data card will be replaced and we will loose all the customization down to the previous form.

worked- no problem. ps it will fail if you have a power app already associated with the list. just delete and try again

    Hello, good video.
One doubt, at minute 3.41 line 76 of the json has the guid of the table that it chooses as a model. In the same way as you change the guid (line 92) to point to the new list, isn't it recommended that you also do it on line 76?
    Greetings

This didn't work for me. I have a fully developed app on one list that I want to move to a 'Dev' environment. When I import. I don't get any errors but opening the app on the dev list reveals that it is a freshly made app, not a new one. Any idea why this is happening?

After following the changes specified here, when I saved an item in List B, that item is stored only in List A.
Can you check and confirm is there anything further I need to take care to correct it?
    Details:
    1. List A contains the original PowerApps UI.
    2. List B was created based on List A.
    3. List A PowerApps form was imported.
    4. List B details are updated in the imported JSON file.
    5. New PowerApps form was imported based on the Updated file.
    6. Published the form and the newly published form design is available in List B.
    7. Now, Whenever I save a new item, that is being saved only in List A and nothing is stored in List B.

Great tutorial, it's a shame with the new UI they've removed an option to export the package as .zip file, you can only "download a copy" as a .msapp file.
And even after opening the .msapp file, updating data source(s), saving and publishing this new app doesn't appear as a list form.
Let me know if you find a workaround for it.

    • @iliazh8949

@Richard Liu to export the package in the current UI you'd need to do the following:
      1. In SharePoint open list settings - Form Settings.
      2. Click "See versions and usage". This will navigate to PowerApps
      3. Click "Export package" at the top and the rest is to be done exactly like in this video starting from 2:19
