As a longtime user of 1Password, I was eager to watch this video to start using Passkeys for my financial accounts. What a letdown! No banks, no credit card co.s and only a single brokerage firm! What's the point? How can anyone get away from SMS and/or email for MFA on financial accounts? Or are we still stuck?
i have been trying tirelessly to find the pass key for 1password, in order to add a device to my account. i have been looping and cant find it in the emergency kit or a PDF and the chatbot cant help me. there is no human at 1password, they just send articles and its not working. does anyone have an idea how to do this?, thank you
Thanks for the valuable info. One question came to mind as I watched: is there a case where keeping a password is better than replacing it with a passkey? Another question, not from your video, in a case such as Google: if I convert my password to a passkey using my Mac, what will happen when I open RUclips on an AppleTV? The AppleTV is associated to an iCloud account but not a 1password account. Maybe this is a case where saving the passkey in iCloud Keychain is preferable to 1password. What do you think?
