      So glad you found it helpful. It’s the reason I made the video. Their high speed vid did nothing for me, and their manual needs some improvements, so I figured others would run into the same glitches. We told the company I made the video, but there was not much response at all. However, I’m pretty sure they’re aware of this video by now. Anyway...enjoy your sauna, and thanks for your encouraging post 😊

    This was really helpful and allowed me to install the Premier IS2 yesterday without any hiccups. I had my neighbour help out so no heavy lifting and it all went together quite easily. A little jiggling was required to get the top to fall into place, and the door panel got a wire caught for a minute until I noticed it. We put up the front wall before installing the bench support and bench, and this wasn't a problem. One of the holes for the light on the back wall was off, so I just made a new one to ensure the fixture was straight. There was quite a lot of sawdust left on the inside walls, and it all really needed a good wash, including the glass door. I was surprised this was needed for such an expensive unit. The light was also quite dirty. Anyway, it's all cleaned up, looking good and working fine. Thanks again for the video which addresses flaws in the manual and took out the guesswork from installation - nice job!

      Benjamin I am happy to hear the video helped - this was my only reason for producing it. What’s interesting, if you check out the comment by Mister EIE below, there was also an issue with the light being dirty, etc. To me, it’s always disconcerting when companies don’t pay attention to such details. Some may say “It’s not that big a deal” ... but it’s not a cheap purchase. Again, thanks for watching the video. Enjoy your sauna 😊👍🏻

    I want to thank you very much for your video, it helped me immensely while assembling my Premier 2, which I did just a couple of days ago with the help of my wife.
    I'm not quite your age, but I'm not far off, by far the hardest part was getting all of the pieces up the switchback stairs and into the bedroom...you weren't kidding about that front panel being heavy!
    The manual provided is OK, but I found it to be lacking in some detail, as you pointed out, especially when making the electrical connections.
    It's not a big deal, but the light they sent me was a bit off centered, and it was filthy with dirt, as if it had been sitting in a warehouse for a while. I'm not sure what the deal with that is, I'm wondering if it had been used already.
    I think I would have preferred the main light being in the ceiling and out of the way, like the older model Premier 2's, it's a bit bulky and a tad on the cheesy side, but like I said it's not that big of a deal.
    Anyway, thanks again my friend, you were a big help to me, aside from your video there isn't any other reference, except that ridiculous warp speed assembly video, which is of no help to anyone...what were they thinking with that?
    Take care, enjoy your sauna, be well.
    P.S. I'm assuming we have the latest model Premier 2, when did you receive yours?

    • @DatAnydeks
      @DatAnydeks  4 года назад +1

      Mister EIE Thanks, and I’m glad to hear that - because helping others was my main goal for the video. We received it about 2 months ago, and it’s working fine. Parts coming to you with dirt? Sigh...many employees don’t seem to have a work ethic of excellence anymore. Sorry to hear that. We ordered a cover, and got the wrong size.🤷🏻‍♂️ Anyway, cheers and thanks for your kind comment.

      @DatAnydeks  4 года назад +1

      Mister EIE 10yrs Lyme! Wow....my wife fought ovarian cancer over the past year (she’s ok now). Have you considered notifying the company about that odd and dirty light fixture? A proper replacement is the right thing for them to do. It may even cause company top management to examine warehouse handling pre-shipment. For the price, we deserve better. It may not be a ‘total disaster’ but I feel bad for you. In general, it is a good sauna. I recently ordered something else from another company, and have to wait about 2 months for a missing part! Sigh 😔

      @@DatAnydeks
      I'm so glad your wife is recovered, I hope she uses the sauna religiously, it will help her immensely in maintaining the health she fought so hard to recapture.
      No Elias, as much as I agree that making a complaint might trigger a positive reaction from Clearlight, I'm just going to let it go, I don't want to attach anymore stress to this situation, it would be counterproductive.
      Provided the sauna works as it should for years to come, I don't think I'll be making any complaints.
      One thing I also forgot to mention was that the felt that the glass door rests on also looks a bit worn in some spots. But since the door closes adequately, it's no big deal. Still...like I said before, it makes me wonder if I was given a used sauna, or perhaps a "new" one with some parts that were not quite up to specs.
      While I'm at it, the front panel (with the door) had a little play in the upper left corner when I attached it to the left side panel. It wasn't as locked in as the other panels, I reset it 4 times to make sure it wasn't an error on my part.
      My wife suggested that when the top was on that it might secure it better, which in fact it did, but it still bothered me that the fit was as off as it was.
      You're so right Elias, we had to scrape up the $$$ for this sauna, we aren't well off by any stretch of the imagination. Im not expecting perfection, but you would think there wouldn't be such obvious defects.
      We don't consider this a luxury item, for us this was a necessary investment in our health, so we are hoping that it performs well for a long time.
      If not, I sure hope they uphold their end of the "lifetime" warranty.

    • @DatAnydeks
      @DatAnydeks  4 года назад +1

      Mister EIE We actually purchased it for her health concerns, but I’m enjoying it also. We both use it a lot. So good to get those toxins out. I understand about letting the ‘off items’ complaints go...it is less stressful since it’s not a huge deal. It’s just that I’ve noticed as time goes on, quality assurance nationwide in general gets weaker. I was thinking...if your wood inside smells fresh and nice, then you probably didn’t get something like a demo unit, but rather a bit laziness in quality shipping control dept. From what it sounds like, your unit should work satisfactorily for years to come.

    • @094340
      @094340 4 года назад +1

      @@DatAnydeks
      Indeed, quality assurance isn't what it used to be, but to your point, the wood does smell newish, so maybe it's just that there are some minimal defects with the unit. I have the basswood so it's not quite as strong smelling a wood, but clearly there is an aroma.
      Good...use it as much as possible, every day if you can, just stay well hydrated and watch your electrolytes.
      My best to you and your wife, and thanks again for the video. 😊

    Thank you for the effort of putting this together. I have two concerns however... First, I'd like to know how the walls get latched together. The other concern is for your install... Putting the rubber tiles as you did under the pavers I'm afraid will trap water in some of the holes. That and the rubber itself may discolor your nice tile work over time. Carry on!

    • @DatAnydeks
      @DatAnydeks  Год назад

      For some reason I couldn’t return to your post to reply sooner. It didn’t even appear on my other devices. Anyway … (1) The walls are easy to notice how they latch. Nothing tricky. (2) The rubber I chose is industrial quality, and I couldn’t detect any color wearing off on my hands or floor. Your point of discoloring tiles is a good one, but I mainly bought the sauna because it seemed a good suggestion for my wife fighting cancer. In that sense, I’m not concerned about the tiles anyway. However, I would be very surprised if the tiles did get discolored, and needed replacing. Thank you! ☺️

    Hey does the roof just sit on top under its own weight? You kept skipping the joining together parts. Pretty sure you put handle on upside down, no biggie but it had be used to rest an ipad or similar on for viewing while in there. Cheers.

    • @DatAnydeks
      @DatAnydeks  Год назад

      Yes the roof is simply placed on top and does rest under its own weight…but I had my neighbor help briefly with that. I responded to another comment about the handle … I did notice I placed it differently than the manual, that is, ‘upside down’ … but I decided to leave it that way since it made no difference to me or my wife. I suppose one could place an iPad or towel or something if I placed it the other way, but it’s so simple to unscrew and redo if desired. You’re right … no biggie. Cheers 😊

    Hi, great video, well done and fun to watch. We just assembled our Clearlight IS-2 sauna 2 days ago. We are totally happy with our purchase. I have a question for you since you have the identical sauna. The instructions read to push the reserve control and BOTH the time and the temp control will blink, then set both. When I push the reserve only the time control will blink. I set and set temp, came back hour and a half later and all working fine. sauna turned on and temp requested. Does your control pad work same way as I describe or as the instructions say. Also, the control panel stays illuminated once reserve set. I would think if you set reserve to go on in 18 hours, as an example, once set panel illumination would turn off, not constantly stay on. I am very interested to hear how your control panel reacts when you push the reserve control.
    Thanks very much, Bob

    • @DatAnydeks
      @DatAnydeks  4 года назад +1

      Robert Neumann Honestly, we haven’t tried the reserve control yet, but with your good question I’ll soon give it a try and see if I can provide you a more satisfactory reply. If necessary, I can also contact the company.

    • @DatAnydeks
      @DatAnydeks  4 года назад

      My sauna does what yours does - when I press ‘Reserve’ ... ONLY the time flashes, not time AND temp as manual indicates. All else works as yours was described. And yes, the panel does stay lit / ON. My deduction is it would continue to stay on for longer wait times reserved. So...manual page 43 step 3 for RESERVATION MODE is slightly incorrect. (ie only time flashes).

      @@DatAnydeks I sent a message to Clearlight for a response, will let you know once I hear back. It does work, just seems to me to set a time to turn on, say in 18 hours, should mean once you set, it would turn control panel (light) off, only to then turn on in 18 hours. That is how most timers/electronics are set to operate. You can set a built in timer to turn on an oven, appears off, once set, until time to turn on, then oven turns on and lights turn on to show.…on. We shall find out.

    • @robertneumann1911
      @robertneumann1911 4 года назад

      Clearlight responded, yes, everything said is true. I suggested they update manual, not very professional to be incorrect. Also, consider setting to turn on 30 hours, control panel SHOULD then turn off until turned on manually OR 30 hours have passed and turns on per timer.

    How hard would it be to move this thing? I just ordered one and now I have decided to move in a year. Do you think putting in on a Uhaul without disassembling it would work?

    • @DatAnydeks
      @DatAnydeks  Год назад

      Hi Corey, I’ve never planned on moving mine, but if you had a situation of sliding the unit onto some kind of flatbed with wheels, you would most likely need a U-Haul with a vertical lift. I foresee potential trouble using any kind of ramp. If I were moving mine, the disassembly would not intimidate me, since it’s a simple ‘reverse job’. That way I’d have a way better chance of not breaking anything. Getting a whole sauna unit off the truck / U-Haul and then rolling it to where I want to place it in a new home also sounds precarious. If you could think of a better way of moving it while assembled, you would at least definitely remove the glass door. For the price paid for the unit, I would simply disassemble it, then watch my own video to reassemble ☺️ If you come up with a better idea, please share it to help others who may want to move like you. Thanks.

    • @DatAnydeks
      @DatAnydeks  2 года назад +1

      Thanks for your kind comment. Your idea of a sliding move with carpet mat may very well work, but I would think that using a smooth piece of cardboard may be a good alternative. Another idea, since it’s a timber floor, is to put the carpet mat under just one corner of the unit … then slide it a bit. Repeat the method for the other corner, and you may find the task less stressful. If your carpet mat is a big piece that fits under the whole unit, another person could help on the other side by pulling on the carpet while you are carefully pushing the unit, since we’re only talking about a few inches. If this method yet remains difficult to slide on that floor surface, I would then try a bigger piece of cardboard beneath the mat and unit. It would work just putting the cardboard just 1/2 foot or so under one side. As you see in my video, I was able to move that very heavy door alone by using cardboard. Let me know how it goes for you. Cheers!😊

      Hi Eric … I put the hinges on the door first. Then I placed the bottom of the glass door onto cardboard until it seemed at close level for direct screwing into the wood. I had my wife help for stabilization - that part is a 2 person job. I thought it safer and easier to not crack glass doing it that way. Once the hinges were lined up close enough, screwing them into the wood was relatively easy. I felt that putting hinges into the glass door first would cause a more difficult job stabilizing and leveling the glass door to connect the hinges to the wood. Whichever way you choose to do it, you will need another person’s assistance.

      Thanks for the encouraging comment. After each use of the sauna, I’ve noticed the heat remains quite contained. The unit is actually designed for indoors, and I’ve noticed on the internet that numerous households actually do place them in the bedroom. Mine is outside because of limited space in the house. If you ask the company directly, I’d be very surprised if they don’t recommend the bedroom for placement. Very helpful video. Thank you! Our sauna arrived and the instructions were very hard to follow. Also, we had missing screws and had to supply our own. We had a problem sliding the panels into place. After we put the 3 panels together and then the door panel, the back panel came out on the right side and we had to take it all apart again in order to try and get it to fit together. So frustrating. How tight and snug are the panels? We have 2 that are very tight and don't even budge when testing them, however, the others have about 1/8 in or so slight gap and move ever so slightly with a rubbing sound. Is this normal? We haven't put the top on yet. We are going to have our neighbor help us with that. When the top goes on, will the panel snap into place and tighten up the panels? Also, one of the trap doors on the top was detached and there are no screws for it! Is this normal? Sorry I have lots of questions, I just wish to get this build correctly and safely so we can start using it! Thank you!

      Celeste Englehardt If you got the exact same sauna, the panels don’t slide into place... rather, they are gently placed down into the foundation slots. Is it possible you placed the left side panel on the right? This could explain a bad overtight fit. Also I would call the company and have them quickly send you correct parts. You should not have had such problems ‘dropping’ the panels into the correct foundation gaps...thus, when the roof is placed, with 2 people it should gently be lowered to snugly fit onto all four panels. You just have to be careful not to pinch any wiring.

      @@DatAnydeks No, we lifted the panels and lowered them into place into the foundation spots.... until they engaged. It's all put together and the heaters and seats are all properly installed. I was just wondering about the slight gaps on the top of the until where the panels join. Is there supposed to be a bit of a separation when looking at it from the top? Are they supposed to move a slight bit?

      Celeste Englehardt I remember my panel corners were all reasonably snug before placing the roof. I think this should be your case if all your panel insert hooks engaged snugly with each other. I recall no questionable separations as you mentioned looking at the unit from the top before installing the roof. Hopefully all your panel hook inserts engaged snugly as you joined panels while lowering them into the foundation slots. The only other kind of separation I can think of looking from the top is the gaps in the panels themselves for wire connections into the roof. After the roof is placed, then the wiring connections are completed. But you did indicate about separation where the panels actually joined, and those should be reasonably snug. If you can’t do anything about the 1/8th of an inch gap, the hope is that after the roof is placed, all panels fit well. Then, observing the inside all panel walls should appear snug with no gaps, including the ceiling. Make this observation before doing the wiring connections, and if things still don’t look right, the roof is simple to remove to search for reasons for any separations. It seems to me that you are on the right track and should be fine after roof installation.

      @@DatAnydeks Thank you for your comments concerning the gaps in the sauna panels an your helpful tips during the installation... My husband and I called our neighbor over to help us with the heavy door panel and roof placement. What a difference it made when they finished putting it together.... I just didn't have the strength to help my husband lift the panels and roof to complete the installation. The guys connected all the wiring and the sauna was ready to use in no time. After I cleaned the interior and washed everything down, including the lightbulb, I hopped into the sauna and was able to enjoy my first session. I love our sauna and am already seeing some health benefits from using it! Thank you again for your helpful video!

    Someone left a comment that my door handle was upside down. According to the manual they seem technically correct … but I examined it both ways before installing it, and either way seemed fine. Aesthetically there’s not much difference to me.

      Having it the other way around allows you to rest a phone or small tablet on the handle for viewing so in this case, yes they are correct that yours is installed upside down.

    May I ask - is there an outlet inside the sauna to plug something in? (As there is on their sanctuary model).

    • @DatAnydeks
      @DatAnydeks  3 года назад

      Yes. It is lower on the right wall as you are seated, a bit above ankle height. It has a rubber cap over it when not in use. 👍🏻

    does this need a dedicated circuit? the 20amp 120v - does it need one for itself? thank you

    • @DatAnydeks
      @DatAnydeks  3 года назад

      I had the same question before I purchased my sauna. If you notice at the very beginning of the video I use my general lanai outlet, and have experienced no outages, shorts, etc since. I wouldn’t recommend against a dedicated outlet by any means. I have a friend who is an electrician, and he suggested to acquire a dedicated outlet only if I started experiencing any problems. So far ... so good, and it’s been about 9months. Finally, this model is generally intended for indoor use, but our house isn’t that big, so I placed it out on the lanai as shown. Therefore, you will most likely place your unit indoors, and you should be ok unless you use your sauna while other things are simultaneously using the same GFI circuit - kinda like using a microwave and other appliances the same time in the kitchen...once in a while you have to reset the GFI. All that said, in general you should have no worries and enjoy your normal outlet connection as I have been.
