I've gone off noticeable musk and for the most part I'm also not feeling woody notes these days, unless I feel that the woodsy note(s) are "supporting" the other notes in the fragrance -- I can't explain it any better. I still wear and enjoy fragrances with a musk note in it as long as it's not dominant. I just checked it out on fragrantica and based on the other notes and the group the fragrance has been sorted into, I should like it if not love it.

It’s probably like musky fragrance with a pear note rather than a pear fragrance with musky notes :D I think some houses love to keep a heavy hand on musk. For example I find most Hermès fragrances very heavy on musk. Some of the Bvalgari fragrances are very musky too. BTW I love Para Granita, it’s on my wishlist.
It's hard to find a good pear fragrance-i own 3.Legni Fruttati is a nice cheapie , Ultra Male - 100% unisex - there are a lot of girls i know wearing it , and Wild Pears by Montale.
