Nothing wrong with that mag it's cool easy to pull apart without tools to keep clean and do maintenance and I love how you can see how many gels you still have and it holds more gels than the M4 mags do
Hey team. I got one of these recently and took it to Donnybrook for a skirmish. I found that while the drum mag I have for my Gen 8.5 JM M4A1 won't fit, the mags for it work perfectly fine, they just don't hold as many gels. Wasn't hugely impressed with it overall, but it isn't as worked as my M4 is anyway.
Blasters Mania already showed it fitting a gen 8, 9 and 10 mag. Gen 8 are seriously tight though, hard to get out. Can also confirm the gen 8 works in my one 👍. Also my stock mags brilliant, I guess someone had to get the crappy one though lol. Great review though, keep it up mate.
something ive not seen covered, i have just got a metal upgrade kit, i can change everything, except the dust cover, it seems to be made to not be disassembled, i have it out of the acr, but it seems both ends of the guide shaft for the dust cover are fixed in a way that it won't come out unless you break it. and the guide rod needs to come out so you can slide the dust cover onto it.
Did you ever figure out how to change the ACR to the metal dust cover? I opened mine up just to swap the charging handle to the other side and that was hard enough as it is. I really wanted to get that metal upgrade kit but after seeing the assembly i don't understand how they expect anyone to instal it.
Looks like the black battery door is to hold the battery in place while allowing it to fire with the stock folded over. (Unlike the HE-E ACR, which won't fire).
@@lowguidoschopshop Will the Scar hold a long round battery, or only the chunky rectangular ones? Maybe they were going for some sort of standardisation akin to what fits in a normal buffer tube, dunno.

Have you got any pics of your wiring? I've just seen what you mean by cable management - what I thought were vertical 'locator lugs' on the LHS of GB are actually 'Cable/Wire Tabs'. Small wire though / diameter? And what about after the switch, how do you navigate the back end where that nasty wire-eating block fits up snug against the rear end of the GB? Thanks for any info....
I have this blaster, bought in early April 2020 and all is the same, .... except the magazine. They have changed that to a mag that the same release as an RX AKM magazine, but this mag is not compatible as the terminals for the mag feed are on opposite sides of the feed tube as they are on the AKM.

No unfortunately. The middle of the charging handle has a notch that sits over a metal rod, so the way it's held in place is that it's sandwiched between said rod and either side of the dust cover. It's sturdier than it appears but it's not held in place by any screws so there's nothing to tighten.
