The opening color change is Ed Marlo's snap change. The second standalone color change is known as the Erdnase two-handed transformation, but was apparently invented by Houdini.
The introductory display sequence is a combination of a handling by Darwin Ortiz and techniques from Brother John Hamman. Levels 1 - 6 come from "New Darwin's Wild Card," published in Lessons in Card Mastery (detailed credits for the various moves and phases are in the book). Level 7 is based on the classic wild card move, developed by Johann Nepomuk Hofzinser. Levels 8 - 10 (for which I don't want to give too much away) are based on a combination of ideas from Pedro Morillo, Dai Vernon, E.L. Whitford, and others. Развлечения

Where can i learn this?

I think that's what the comment is answering.
Really beautiful routine Daniel! It makes me miss practicing card magic. Keep it up man!
Not only do you present it, you also inspire magicians to up their game. Massive respect 🙏
The Performance is spot on. I also I love that you credit everything!
Astute observers will be able to figure exactly how these tricks were done. If you slow your playback speed to .5 you can clearly see the moment at the beginning of the video when he exchanges his soul for magical powers.
That's why most magicians typically trade their souls at full speed, so that most people won't catch it in real time.
What an amateur move. He was supposed to make a transaction before the video starts.
What minute or second in the video ?
@@SurrealScotsman As if that's a bad thing
@@SurrealScotsman pretty sure he doesn't
The sleight of hand in this video is out of this world, wow.
indeed, its crazy good. Doesn't even matter if you know any of the moves, cause everything is so seemless you can't even tell. great stuff
@@maxwanders so true. This is such a lovely routine. Sure, much of it might have been expected, but that detracts nothing from the absolute mastery. I feel like understanding how these work just makes the performance better
Blimey I just give up..I could practice 24/7 and I couldnt get close..I bow sir to your card superiority!
@@maxwanders I don't even know the move, and I'm fairly certain that I saw how he did the 7th one. (although I might be wrong) It was super flashy, it's bassicly how he turned the card upside down.
@@AkitoLite Gook eyes, Akito ... I only noticed when watching for a second time, after I had an idea on how the 8s changed into Ks ... you can try to figure out the rest now... what I still have not figured out are the deck color changes ... I have a couple ideas, but I'm not 100% sure ...
The sleight of hand is amazing, a real pro
I'm one of those jerks that loves to take the mystery out of magic by figuring out the tricks. Shortly into THIS routine, I found myself just enjoying watching the pretty cards change in front of my eyes. Excellent presentation!
even though I know a few of the ways he does it, I love the execution, I love the flow, very very good.
Uh.... what the hell was that..... that was completely unbelievably awesome!
I'm no magician but usually I have some minor idea how stuff is done... but I've got nothing here at all.
That was superb!
i think level 8 is just a double lift. The four of diamonds always had a red back.
@@danielf.7151 Yeah, I think it is. I stopped at level 7 to write this comment, so hadn't watched 8-10. Notice how particular Daniel is during the spread on level 9 to not show the second card.
I won't give it away if you don't want to be spoiled, so I'll just say to pay attention to the backs of the red cards for all the early levels. This was really excellent.
@@johnrupesh4535 On level 7 you can even see the double sided card very well.
@@ulicqueldromal Yup..
Sleight of hand masters never cease to amaze me. Seriously, this was so impressive!!
I figured it out. This is quite a simple trick. Daniel just hacked the matrix.
caught me
to take a note out of Penn and Tellers book, there is a beauty in this set of tricks that you did which distracts us from the dull reality we are trapped in but also reminds us there are always two faces to a coin so we can remain hopeful if we dont like the way things are we can change them.
That’s what I thought as well!
Perfect presentation!
THANK YOU for doing on screen magic without edits. It's so refreshing, and anti-zeitgeist. But it's so genuine. I don't care how many takes it takes to get the final one, the ones you publish are flawless.
ok i just have to ask this: wtf does anti-zeigeist mean? im german and zeitgeist is a german word but in that context? wouldn't make sense so do you use it here? ( thats a genuine question)
I know the basics of how some card tricks are done, but the brilliant off-handedness of your performance, stitching them together all in one take, is something else entirely. Bravo !
Yeah, this guy has got to be one of the most natural and charismatic card magicians I've seen.
I'd like to know genuinely how long you've worked on this routine. I'm amazed by your timing and pattern. It feels like a long set of biddel. My brain cannot develop long sessions like this, nice work
Well to make this video, I had to stitch together a bunch of stuff I've learned over the last 15 years. So some of it I learned a decade ago, other parts I learned and developed specifically for this video.
@@DanielRoyMagic but how long did it take to have just an idea of such magic session and actually doing it perfectly on front of camera?
Dude. I can usually follow your movements, but in this one I'm just dumbfounded.
I gotta learn this one
Understanding 1% of a certain trick does not mean you can “usually follow the movements”
Well, while some of the tricks are just nice Sleight of Hand, i doubt you can do all this with just regular cards...
@@heidtb6746 good point
@@imptastic9019 So true. I get so many people who catch me doing 1 move- THEY WONT EVEN KNOW WHAT IT IS!, but I hear, "HA I CAUGHT YOU!". The worst part is, most people whom I perform to, do this. its DAMN ANNOYING!
and also, mr banana, he will eat u up in a real magic fight
@@thesohmagician2991 this is the reality. Nothing is more frustrating than finishing off a beautiful and clever routine which just so happens to use a cheeky double lift and for someone to say, “THATS TWO CARDS.” And then when you concede that to them, they feel as if they’ve managed to solve the mystery of the whole trick. There’s a phrase I read in a book, “if a magician understands 90% of a trick but is fooled by 10%, they will consider themselves fooled. If a spectator understands 10% of a trick and is fooled by 90, they will believe that they understand the whole trick.”
ik how its done and the moves plus the special cards
but cannot do it right away its just so perfect and the practise went into this is so admirable
i love ittt keep it up your videos gives me hope every time
One of the more entertaining things I've seen in a long time. Thanks for posting it.
This is an Elite level of sleight of hands...Awesome work... Mesmerizing
The first time I watched the trick I was amazed, but when I showed someone else after learning more about magic I figured them out all the way until leve 10 and want to say how well you managed the concealing of the cards and how clever you formatted the presentation. Thanks to you I now feel confident that my learning of tricks like the back palm or just simple ones like the double lift, that I was able to notice many times in these tricks, has paid off.
Beautiful routine, masterful technique and angles. Pure joy to watch 😊 i like how you combined the classics and spiced them up
Fantastic performance of an old classic with great variations added. Well done!
Thanks Daniel for these AMAZING uploads. I can now do a one handed cut (usually) but it's just magical to watch you. Great music too !
Your videos are just... amazing. I have no idea why I am learning these tricks, I do not have any ambitions to cheat at cards, I don't want to show tricks to anyone.
It's just.. your passion and joy is contagious.
You are very charming and a great teacher.
thanks! glad you've enjoyed the videos
Ohhh, this one was REAL smooth! I really liked it.
Your videos always remind me of why I got into magic and I can't thank you enough!
Can't wait for the next awesome performance, man.
I’ve been a lover of card magic ever since I was a young boy and I’m usually pretty good at noticing the moves and maybe once in a while I “kinda” know what’s happened. But this is just absolutely flawless. I haven’t a clue how you did 90% of this act. Amazing.
All those movements are the most basic of card magic. Elmer's count, double lift, double back. Even a kid who practices card magic, know about these moves.
Absolutely loved this! So well done. I've been devouring slight of hand content since Covid started and this is one of the best I've seen. Your patter was amazing. Just loved the whole routine!
Wow, thank you!
Dude is smooooooth as silk. Some of best I've ever seen, and he's only gonna get better.
After watching so many of your videos I’ve come to appreciate another side of them which is trying to figure out some moves by working them backwards, but even after my second watch I have no idea where those 8s are going. The middle levels were definitely the highlight of this routine for me.
I'll give you a hint. That part of the trick uses exactly those 9 cards. And there are three different types of cards present, not two.
Absolutely masterful. Such a wonderful routine you have there.
I know how and when you do it, but still amazes me to watch how clean and smooth it is. Simply amazing, I wish I had this ammount of dexterity
Your sleight of hand is really good, my man. I'm familiar with how the tricks work and I'm always checking for shenanigans, but you got me. I'm going to have to re-watch this multiple times to see if I can catch it. For the doubters, it's not video edits. It's a LOT of practice in misdirection and set up. Just like any good trade, the more you practice, the better you get!
This was one of my favorite "10 levels" this was a really good routine
You killed this one! Wow even as a magician watching this, it’s amazing like the skills here are very visible. Keep keeping it unique , see you on tv soon
Truly astounding, I love watching these magic tricks! It's part of the reason I've been learning some card tricks to see the amazement and wonder on people's faces. Keep up making the great videos!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great Setup! Great Handling! Great Performance!
Clean from Beginning to End.
So delightful!
Awww that was beautiful and magical - thank you!
I was so entertained! Loved this thank you! My jaw just kept dropping wider at every level😄
Love the presentation and flow of how he does it. Of course I only know 1 of these moves but it still amazes me of how he executes it perfectly
This was amazing. From the first second of the video, I did not look into his face once, my eyes were glued to his hands. And even though I could theoretically follow everything (the basic method behind but not the real deal) and I thought I knew what the ending would be, I was so amazed, when it was only lvl 9. I had no idea you would end on such a banger as lvl 10.
Awesome video!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I love it the bonus level, the only change I could have done in this video!
Man, not even with zoom + 0.25 speed I can figure out a lot of stuff you do. You very good
Wow that last one was amazing!!! Really had me stumped, awesome job Roy!
OMG, this is brilliant. Simply mesmerizing to watch
What an amazing routine. Mind blowing. Love it. Thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it!
Amazing Daniel! That level of skill is off the charts!
Awesome. I have always liked and enjoyed slight of hand magic. This session was incredible.
There are so many cheap camera trickery magicians out there but i got no doubt that you are the real deal. And i love what you do.
Between the small moves I caught and the ones I missed, it doesn’t change the fact that you sir are a rat bastard magical genius. Round of applause
Mind-blowing! Really awesome!
Bravo! Even if I think I know how you’re doing it, you’re so good at it, I’m left wondering if I’m wrong. Perfect!
I've never seen something like that... No words.... Standing ovation!!!
This video emptied all the WTFs from my system.
You're incredible, Daniel! 😳
I ran across your video, and it made me want to get back into doing card tricks. Thank you.
Oh my gosh that was amazing!!!!!!
Mannnn, I saw some second-deals in a spot or two but rewound the last few tricks to try to catch a deck switch or anything at all. What a clean bit. Awesome!
what a gift for performance you got brother! english isn't even my first language but I was looking at you fascinated and could understand everything it was mind blowing. You got a subscriber!!
i understood what was going on for like the firt 3.5 minutes of the video but after that you completely fooled. this was brilliant. thank you.
Beautiful. Even if you suspect how it was done, it is so clean that there is no complaints or criticisms to give.
Look again at level 7. ^^
I don't usually make this kind of comment, but I saw a lot of methods in this video. And everything I saw made the things I didn't see through that much more impossible. Catching a few moves doesn't stop the performance from being magical. I especially loved how you utilized some simple methods to gain more utility out of your setup. Also, loved AmirAli Roohi's note in the spirit of Penn and Teller.
Super clean!
I figured out the gimmick with the cards, but the speed and precision of the sleight of hand, along with your showmanship, is what makes the presentation. I had to slow down the video to follow how each individual trick was executed. In real-time, it's almost impossible to catch. Great job and brilliant video!
You're amazing at this.
I tend to enjoy watching magic as a brain-teaser, trying to figure out the tricks behind it. I was able to spot exactly one slip-up...which makes the rest all the more impressive since it confirms to me that it is in fact all real on your part. Even if I replay your videos multiple times, I'm often left stumped.
This is beautiful... My magician mind could figure out how this presentation works, BUT: i enjoyed it too much, everything was fluent and harmonious. Very well done, Daniel!!
Great show Daniel! Thanks for sharing.
I was laughing non-stop like a fool !!! So much enjoyed !!!
Beautifully done
Absolutely MAGIC!! So amazing.
Great stuff!
As someone who is somewhat familiar and dabbles in card magic I can honestly say there are absolutely no camera tricks, just purely amazing sleigh of hand. When I see any trick for the first time my magician brain tries to figure out how it was done but I was just so caught up and amazed with the magic, I had to watch it again to notice and catch all your sleigh of hand. Amazing job, you are phenomenal!!!
I appreciate how you tapered out these effects
So fun to watch! Thanks for sharing!
That is incredible!! I love it!!!
Glad you like it!
I love this routine. Easy enough for someone with knowledge of the moves and the techniques can follow and understand and put together from beginning to end but so cleanly executed with confidence. Great video!
Exactly. It's not hard to figure out the general trick being pulled, but still very enjoyable to watch.
@@VSX66 can you please explain it to me?
Can you please explain it to me?
@@trichotillomaniac1959 I assume you understand the basic techniques, such as false counting and double lifting?
These videos are FIRE!!!!!!
So good! 👏
Loved this man!
Outstanding!!!
Oh my, a new video from Daniel Roy
absolutely beautifully clean, that was amazing
I think of a color change as a a single trick and a technical crux, but you turned it into a whole theatre with a story.
Even though I usually don't like gimmicked decks or cards this one played really well into that whole arch. I was invested in those kings making a comeback in the end.
Though I was initially mad that you've used monte cards and a R&S deck, I actually enjoyed this one because I was able to follow everything, which is not the case with many of your other videos with normal cards 😅 Smooth as always!
Something I discovered by watching the video. You have a LOOOOOOOOT king of hearts
Wow that was INCREDIBLE! Well done!! I am amazed HOW did you do that??? I watched so carefully and didn't catch a single thing.
Wow you get better and better!!!! That’s was awesome!
Such an awesome video!
How could one not subscribe to this chnnel? This video is sooo amazing!!!
Love these videos! Keep it up!!
As always : stunning sleight of hand 🤩
That's impressive. Some of the other sleights I can generally follow if I'm looking for them, especially on the second watch (since you have an idea of what's going to happen and can work backwards logically), but this one? I got nothing. Bravo sir.
I pretty much know how it’s done but there’s just no way I could perform it myself. That guy clearly put in his 10,000 hours of practice. It’s not just his perfect hand movements, it’s also his misdirection that makes us believe those are perfectly normal cards (which some of them definitely are).
amazing as always
Thanks you!
What is amazing is that even if I get some of the tricks, it is so beautiful to see your hands doing the tricks perfectly like that, hard work u passed on those bravo !
Thank you so much!
That was just stupid sick. Sick, I tell yuh!!
Perfect technique! Flawless routine, man!
The cards are funky.
Amazing dude. You’re a great Magician. So smooth with cards. I love this channel. It’s like going to a free show.
thank you!
This trick uses basics of card magic but so beautifully done.
Daniel, your technique is so cool
I need to practice more
My mind was just blown. Wow.
That was so clean
You are a wizard harry!
That was all raw skill. Very well done !
You frickin' demon! I love your work
