      Hey mate, I’m no longer based in Canberra but that spot was just south of the carillon. Should be able to find it using some google earth 😁

      Not in the ACT go google your laws ACT and NSW it’s not illegal to put them back

    You should have killed the carp not thrown em back but I know its not really gonna do any good nowadays, they're pretty dominant in the waterways now.

      you're legally allowed to release them on the spot of the catch, but I decided to keep the last one once I remembered, cheers for the comment

      @BST Fishing buddy in most states I've fished in it is illegal for you to release them. Maybe the rules are different in your area. Might be worth double-checking the local regs just in case. Especially if you are putting it on the web for everyone to see.

      Hey mate it is certainly illegal to put then back . Had has been illegal for about 40 years. They are a huge pest eating our native fish and eggs. You can get fined on big for that.

      Wrong matey, legal to release in ACT and NSW, pointless killing them anyway, will make zero difference either way 🤷‍♂️
