The fact that Daisy has 4 Kingdoms that make up Sarasaland makes her more of a Empress than a princess. Also fun fact, the bosses in Mario Land are actually the rulers of each Kingdom & are controlled by Tantanga's spell.
Wrong, she's still just the general princess of Sarasaland since as you said, the bosses are the ones who rule each Kingdom and not Daisy,
@@azurewarrior2000 Huh, I guess your right. So your saying she's not a Empress, but a Princess who rules the 4 Kingdoms that makes up Sarasaland? I mean, sure. King Totomesu rules Birabuto, Dragon Zamasu rules Muda, Hiyoihoi rules Easton, & Biokinton rules Chai, but Daisy still has great power on all of them, even though she doesn't rule the Kingdoms. It's still her general land.
You can still be a princess to an emperor. And Daisy's dialogue in Mario Party 3 & Fortune Street mentions her father, so he would probably be the emperor while she is the princess (assuming Daisy's father is still remotely canonical)

Not to mention IRL, royalty tend to have multiple titles over multiple lands.
Alleyway is also considered a Mario game, and is one of the few without his name in the title. He controls the Breakout paddle, and several puzzles in-game if I recall correctly are shaped like various Mario enemies.

I'm sure there are other titles I'm forgetting but Donkey kong 64 and Diddy Kong Racing definitely stand out as the two biggest games missing from the n64 online catalog

That's all the games from the roadmap. Now, nothing remains aside from obscure third-party games. Hopefully, Tiertex isn't on the list. They're far worse than Jaleco. Jaleco games are playable, but Tiertex is essentially the LJN of the Game Boy Color.

I Absolutely Love *Super Mario Land* SO much, with Princess Daisy herself of the Sarasaland Kingdom from my Childhood Years! Can't wait to play this on the Nintendo Switch this year!
I finally legally have all the mainline Mario games. I have been playing these games since my early childhood in the Wii DS era. I have got all the ones that came out since then on their consoles, and I have the older games through NSO and Sunshine through SM3DAS.

I love how instead of being happy Super Mario Land is finally on Switch Online, everyone is angry at Nintendo for not including the game sooner.

It makes sense why now is when we get these, May is the in-between point of the Game Boy's launch dates for both the U.S. and Japan. As for tonight's selection, now is the best time for these launch titles, as the naysayers would have complained quite loudly if Alleyway were added within a so-called "quality drought" years after launch. Plus, it's customary to get most of the early first-party titles out of the way within the first couple years. Not having these already, felt quite odd. As for what's next: We'll likely see more of the earlier Game Boy titles in the near future, such as: Radar Mission, F-1 Race, Solar Striker, Golf, and Tennis [the final launch title], whereas NES and SNES might show up less often to let Game Boy catch up. As for SEGA Genesis, I'm honestly starting to worry about that. it's been 11 months since the last update, is the deal expiring? regardless, maybe the June Direct will shed some light on what's going on. Also: forget about seeing anything for N64 this month, it's GBA's turn!

Japan has a fourth game in the lineup. The Japan Only game, Kaeru no Tame ni Kane wa Naru. Otherwise known as, The Frog For Whom the Bell Tolls.
Alleyway is my JAM! Loved playing it on GB/3DS. Simple fun. ❤
Kinda wish we got Super Mario Bros. Deluxe instead. Super Mario Land can be fully experienced in half an hour.
It always bugged me that Mario land 2 was on there but not 1.

@@SaltyToad00 With all due respect, I am glad Super Mario Land is on there. At the very least, prioritizing the original games makes more sense. The Switch has the Arcade and NES version of Super Mario Bros.
Now, for the next update, sure. Add it then.

For the first time Super Mario Land has save states. And that means you can save the game after you beat it the first time and play through the difficult mode on the menu screen when ever you want.

Took them long enough to add the first Super Mario Land to the service. Seems weird that it wasn't available from the get-go. Also, I remember Alleyway from the old days, and I've played that a good deal back then.

Oh wow I had no idea! My Switch did not notify me of this and I do go daily in the NSO app in the console, anyways it was d*mn about time! I have seen all over YT people being excited to eventually be able to get to play it on Switch. Zero Mission when?

Yeah, no. Land 2 sweeps the original. It has a full hub world, several unique worlds, and it introduced Wario, which is a way better character than Daisy.

Hopefully we get Pokémon RBGY, GSC and the grading card game. I know those are all big games not developed by Nintendo. But I know Nintendo can get gamefreak on the bandwagon of bring their popular rpgs to the switch. And of course Pokémon Colosseum & XD remakes need to happen. Which they seem to have forgotten but they did acknowledge the GameCube Pokémon games in one of their previous Pokémon directs and presents.
